'23 Build Week 10/31/2022

I know it’s frustrating right now, I mean your car should have been over 300 ahead of mine. I’m reading about cars that are over 1000 behind mine being shipped. It’s demoralizing if you let it be.

All that notwithstanding, I ordered the car I wanted and I’m willing to wait. If it means I get my car after Jan 1, then so be it, I always thought that was going to be the case anyway this summer when I was waiting to order. But, I’m still getting delivery estimates that are the same as people who show their car shipped. So, either that estimate is way off, or something else is going on, like “shipped” really means that these cars are assigned a rail car but haven’t moved yet. Or, my car has actually shipped but the Ford tracking is just so behind on updating. Who knows.

If you aren’t totally committed to the car you ordered, then it’d be hard to turn down a sure thing. But when I see these images in my Ford account, I’m good waiting for my car. This car doesn’t exist until MY23, so I know I’ll be among the first to have it.

All good points. I just turned down the ‘22 for the reasons you stated. Paying 65K+, I want what I want.

I think, for me, ordering in February and seeing people with orders end of August receive them the same time if not earlier is the frustrating bit. Directed at Ford of course, not the individuals. I suspect the prioritization of new orders over (or equal to) converted orders is due to converted orders receiving a Ford credit to cover the cost increase, while new orders pay full price. It’s a prudent business move to prioritize those that will make you more money, much to my chagrin.

So I just got off the phone with my ford dealer and there is a change in route for California vehicles. They go through nogales at the border and come to riverside where they are loaded on vehicles. If this is the case California persons eta may be right on point with estimates. The person I spoke to at the dealership was also surprised by this finding as he had stated they had always gone to MO first. This would also follow what ford told me on the phone last week in regards to shipping routes.

I like the idea of changing things up for deliveries out west.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Ferromex RR goes to Nogales where linkup to Union Pacific would be made. Sadly, my MME order (built 9/13, destined for California) made it from Cuautitlan to KC in just 10 days but has been sitting in Missouri for another 50 days. No explanation, no update. There must be a problem with BNSF routes between Missouri and CA, AZ, TX. Let's see what VIN View has to say.

It’s supposed to be the GT badge according to the order guide. I noticed that as well in the images.

Were you given an ETA on the tracker? I’m hopeful today a lot of cars move into shipped, since yours has shipped and was in limbo for a week. Seems like all my updates have been overnight so far, so we will see.

The ETA has remained the same really since the beginning, 12/11-12/17. No matter what the tracking has said during the last 10 days, I’ve always been given those dates. Because that has been consistent, I’ve remained rather optimistic throughout. Of course I realize that ETA may not materialize but at least there’s a chance as of now. Hopefully we all see a bunch of positive movement over the next few days.

ford chat gave me 12/14 as a delivery date this morning but i don't know if they are just picking the latest date from the 12/8-12/14 range ford's tracker said.

i also got railcar number AOK 501589 from ford chat this morning, but CSX has no status for that car.

i had the shipped status in ford's tracker monday (11/14), followed by an email saying the car had shipped, and then overnight (11/15-11/16) i got a text saying the car had shipped.
