What is the purpose of these updates?

Do they have anything to do with fixing the busted BC1.4 rollout?

23-PU1113-UNX-DC got installed after receiving the previous "FX" update. FX2 has not yet been sent to my car. It's been interesting to see how the deployments get to some cars and not others .

I got this update on 2/22 on my new 2023 MME (3 weeks old). I don't even know what EA means.

EA = Early Access program. Folks who signed up to be guinea pigs early testers for Ford's updates.

Interestingly my MME didn't say a thing about the update. My phone however gave an an active alert for it that won't go away.

Doubtful. Ford sends what each vin needs from what the car tells them.
