it wasn't in the dealer's servicing platform either though. i watched the guy do it: he enters my VIN and mileage, the system spits out the servicing that should get done, and brake fluid wasn't on there. so then as a result he understandably refused to do it [as part of my pre-paid servicing plan].

it's also not here: https://www.ford.com/support/maintenance-schedule/, which is what my online owners manual links to (i don't know where tomato's pictures are from, i don't see that in my manual)...
Your profile doesn’t show the model year of your car. But I’m guessing it’s more than 3 years old?

That’s wild, Ford must have a version mismatch somewhere. I got those screenshots from their service website.
https://www.fordservicecontent.com/...e=USA&VIN=&userMarket=USA&div=f&buildtype=web

And the PDF version from that same site shows it too.

I just checked our 2022 vehicle on the service interval page and when i advance the mileage to the point it should show the two mileage based fluid recommendations in our manual it doesn’t show either. It’s only mileage based so I didn’t expect it to show the 3yr brake interval.

They need to fix that inconsistency.

Screenshot of maintenance page from 2025 PDF follows.

yes. it's 3 years old, 22k miles. however like i said i specifically had the service manager type 30k thinking that maybe it was refusing to show the brake fluid change based on mileage and not age, and it still didn't come up (the system doesn't have a field to type in "years", just mileage).

so quite confusing the 24 pdf manual eliminated the fluid replacements and in the 25 manual they appear to have returned.

this is the link for the 2021 manual. strangely under the scheduled maintenance heading there is just 1 sub-section: general maintenance information. in which it doesn't have the table, but only the link that i gave you previously

however in the manual you linked (says 2025 on the top) the header has another subsection. 2024 also has it. 2021, 2022, and 2023 all don't have it.

yeah so clearly there is an issue, but even more broadly you can imagine the servicing platform the dealers are using doesn't have this. the dealer is refusing to perform this action as part of the maintenance and for once i don't blame them.

if you're paying for the service then maybe they'll do it, but i bought the servicing plan and they obviously won't do what isn't required

Lucky for me, the dealership I go to for service has an EV service rep who always reviews what the "normal" service reps have entered into the system. I have never performed the recommended service since the car was in for various failures and unrelated service items, so they covered the inspections and tire rotations all the way to 36K under warranty. The only expense for us has been the cabin filter, which I replaced on my own for under $20. They always gave me a loaner if it took more than a few hours or did repairs at my house. Our warranty has now expired just this past week so I guess we are on the hook for future service but the dealership makes the difference when it comes to Ford service.

Hmm…what’s really screwy is when I read the *HTML* version of the 2024 manual it is there, but the PDF version is missing it https://www.fordservicecontent.com/...g_Mach-E_Owners_Manual_version_1_om_EN-US.pdf

Even weirder is that it *references* changing coolant at the specified intervals at one point (page 332) then never specifies them.
yeah i'm noticing it's in the pdf version of the 2021 manual too just not the html one. so i probably got screwed out of it, but again i don't know how i'd ever be able to convince my dealer of it when it's not in their servicing systems

Just dropped my car off at the dealership for 30,000 miles service and they are charging $1000. Does this seem in line or way over? I was expecting a couple hundred bucks at most. I already changed the cabin air filter and don’t need my tires rotated.
Wait, what, I thought the MME was basically maintenance free, at least that’s what many on this forum say? ? Should not cost more than a couple hundred bucks! ?

If you do the legit servicing it is basically maintenance free.

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS AT YOUR 30,000 MILES CHECKUP
  • Inspect the wheels and related components for abnormal noise, wear, looseness or drag.
  • Inspect cooling system level and strength
  • Inspect tires and check tire pressures.
  • Inspect steering linkage, ball joints, suspension, tie-rod ends, drive shaft and U-joints. Lubricate if equipped with grease fittings.
  • Inspect brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, brake linings, hoses and parking brake.
  • Perform multi-point inspection.
  • Inspect half-shaft boots.
  • Rotate the tires, inspect tire wear and measure tread depth.
dealer ripoff!
If they actually do a hands- on inspection of all listed items & a rotation….., maybe an hour or so?! Bill P
That is also what they do at every other 10k service. They should be arrested for prostitution because they really screwed you.

And you didn't laugh at them?
