4.1.2 OTA Update delay

That’s a very odd decision. Why not just check nightly or every two nights or something.

I wonder why they chose that.

However it would d plain why I always seem to get updates right after parking somewhere.

There are a lot of misguided strange decisions related to OTA.... but I suspect the 10 key cycles shaves the spike in cars looking for updates at the same time.

Unplug the car and roll a couple of windows down if pussible. Remote start it and allow it to shutdown automatically. A few of the remote starts should drop the soc off of 100%.

thanks, I’ll be back home tonight and will plan on unplugging + doing a two hour burn of max heater. What a literal waste of time and energy.

Looks like there is another one (un-numbered) between 4.1.1 and 4.1.2. For those who already got 4.1.2 - how long did you wait after getting 4.1.1?

BTW - are there different versions for 2022, Job 1 and Job 2? I thought it was only in 2021 model year.

The 10 key cycle thing is for the car to check the severs for new BC maps. This does not make the car check for OTA updates.

Oh. That makes far more sense (they likely don’t change much).

I got 3.6.2 yesterday and just got 4.1.1 now, and I started my car twice in between.

4.1.1 is out of EA! Job 1, nothing special, and I got it!

I'm in EA and still haven't gotten 4.1.1. Yet Ford insists there is nothing wrong.

I’m on 3.5.4.2 so needing to catch up and like the rest of Canada will get winter enhancements in spring.

I'm in the same boat, stuck on 3.6.1 in EA. I sent an email to Ford EA asking what was going on. It's super frustrating.
