It worked! I'm on a train! Yes, I chatted with them twice in one day. Stop judging me.

Surprisingly, they knocked a full month off my delivery estimate between this morning and this evening. This morning it was July 1-7. Just now they said it'll be at my dealer June 6; which is less than a week away. I went from thinking the estimate is too pessimistic to thinking it's too optimistic. Not sure how it'll get all the way to the east coast in that time.
So I think there was a false alarm on my date change. My dealer still shows July 1-7. I went back to ford chat and they also still show July 1-7.

I wonder if the rep that told me 6/7/22 meant that as 6 July, 2022. But I did confirm with her, “June 7??” She said yes. ?‍♂

I checked Norfolk Southern and it’s now in Conway, PA.

It should only take a few days to get to Newark but that’s where the real uncertainty exists in terms of waiting time. So I agree June 6 is unlikely especially given that several of us have sat in Newark for well over a week.

The automated Norfolk Southern line can be addictive and you know you’re an addict when you know your railcar number by heart…

Sadly my railcar isn’t available to track when I try to call. ☹

@FarSide My car's on the move again. Was in New Florence, PA (pop: 689) this morning. You too? From what I've heard it doesn't take long to get to Newark, but then (as @RMoore is experiencing) it could be stuck there forever. United Road does the trucking from Newark to Upstate NY.

Ideal delivery for me (before a series of trips) would be week of 6/13 but not sure that's possible. Trying to just be thankful this is all hopefully nearing an end! Looking forward to the 4/11 crew finally getting their deliveries.
We must be traveling together; I was just in Rockville PA which is under 200 miles to Newark where I presume is the terminus.?. This is getting ridiculous, my wife just casually asked me if RMoore's car left Newark yet. My whole family is involved now with tracking as my son is picking up the wife's off-lease Outback on father's day. @RMoore did you and your dealer sort out the Newark hold up? I don't want to believe it's a chip hold. There are so few cars being built these days, is there really such a shortage of tuck-driving car haulers in the NYC Tri-State? In theory, we could have our cars this week OR according to my current estimate on July 24th. WTF !

My car still seems to be in Newark (been there since last Sunday). It was at the Doremus auto lot for a bit but now I don't know exactly where it is in Newark since the location changed on the Norfolk automated line a few days ago and it doesn't specify. That was as of June 1st and the automated response hasn't changed as of a few minutes ago. I'll post again if I learn something new.
Edit: haven't checked back with my dealer either since they seem in the dark.

I just scanned in Allentown. We will hit the beach head tomorrow in Newark. There do not appear to be any additional deliveries in our build week and I just saw a delivery hit in the 4/18 group.

Ah, Newark, NJ, the dark abyss for which Mach-E's enter and are never to be seen again. Abandon all hope ye who enter there.

Mine has been there since 5/14 (3/14 build group). Someone in the 3/28 group has had theirs there since 5/2.

"Hi, my name is pnrmurph. I like to crush people's hopes and dreams."

Seriously, that's so discouraging.

So I can only assume the NY Tri-State is plagued with shortages of truck drivers and lifeguards. There has been no official news that I am aware of about chip or part holds outside of the Mexico plant.

Yes that is what I heard - dozens of Mach-e's held up due to truck\trucker shortages. Seems to have started recenly as someone in April only had their car in Newark for a few days. Ah, the fickle 2020's...

Uh oh, I was really hoping we didn’t need to invoke Dante and the gates of hell but here we are. Agree that this is discouraging and might lead me to call the Norfolk Southern automated phone line much less often, perhaps only 10 times a day now. Whew.
