6.14.0 Software Update just installed

I got mine yesterday while driving. I noticed that my CarPlay got disconnected briefly and then reconnected and when I got home I got the notification of the update so wondered if the CarPlay issue was when the update happened. Speaking of CarPlay I could swear that Spotify is now faster to advance to the next song when I hit the button on the steering wheel. Has anyone noticed that and could it be from the update?

I got 6.14.0 yesterday, it looks okay, but the bottom center volume wheel and the thumb toggle on the right side of the steering wheel only control GPS PROMPT volume and not the radio. I cannot figure out how to toggle between radio and GPS.

Got 6.14.0 a couple of days ago. No mention in the car or Fordpass that I had gotten a new update. It just showed up. I noticed the new top row icons. And then I noticed the time.

Why oh why do they keep trampling on user preferences? Why bother setting them if some engineer decides that they don't matter? Yes, I prefer a 24 hour clock, damn it! It seems like every time a new OTA drops, I have to go through and see what settings have been messed up this time.

In keeping with the above, it used to be, back in the day, when you got in your car and your radio station didn't start playing, it was because there was something wrong with the radio station. With this car, it is typically either a) presets have vanished (at least that bug seems to be fixed) or b) the radio has defaulted back to AM (seriously? AM?). The other day I got in the car and just got static. I grumbled to myself about another damned OTA. But no! This time it was the radio station: high winds had damaged their antenna. But this car has conditioned me to think that it is the car that has screwed up. Not good Ford engineers, not good.

Hmm no my BC warning is still there after this update. Wondering if you had another update.

After another drive, the warning is still there, bummer. But it only turns on for BC hands free. Before, when turning ACC on for the first time in a drive, it would show up and then nothing further when BCHF would eventually be used.

No it turned on for hands on BC too. I heard rumors once we get BC1.4 they stop calling hands on “BlueCruise” lol. So no warning.

Not sure if this is a 6.14.0 problem but I seem to have lost the ability to have a backup passcode. It wasn't working so I completely reset PaaK and re-setup PaaK and a passcode yesterday and today it simply doesn't seem to exist again. The car also unlinked my phone from my profile and I was able to add that back. But something is going a little odd here. The keypad code works, but not the passcode. And before I reset PaaK in the car, the menu item to setup the passcode was grayed out. I also rebooted SYNC but that was no help. The only thing I can think to try now is a 12V disconnect. Also the wifi section in the menus isn't showing any Wi-Fi networks...which I don't think I've ever seen. 6.14.0 was the last update I got. And all this worked around a month ago.

Edit: 12V cycle (disconnected neg on battery for 1 minute) seems to have fixed my wifi. I then had to reset PaaK and set it up again followed by the passcode. Then I tested the keypad code and passcode to verify it is all working again. I'll check tomorrow to see if it stays working.

I’ve been playing with 6.14 for the last couple of days and the laziness of Ford devs is astonishing. Ok, they changed the buttons at the top, but left the ugly buttons in the apps menu.

And when do we get the ability to see bigger version of the drawers???

Who needs those cumbersome app drawers. I really enjoy fishing. And the benefit of the on-board scales is something that just brings me joy. Still looking for where they are but I am sure they are buried in there someplace. My car is the top of the line, so it has to be there.

Got 6.14 update today. CART1. 2022. Non EA. The moved Sketch app location threw my littlest for a loop for appx ten seconds.

Also I’d really like an onboard scale. I’m assuming model model doesn’t have. Would be a good before/after breakfast burrito data source.

Downloading now. Big update, stopped at 2GB....which reminds me I gotta go find the sketch app before the update installs so I can very if it moved or not

My Sketch app was already on the Entertainment tab, am I the only one?

Lightning jon 3/20 got - 24-PU0105-CMR-FX. Priority Update - Advanced Driver Assistance System, first update since 3/1.

I'm thinking that's the one I'm waiting for to fix lane keeping on the Mach-E. This week, come on Ford ?.


As for other changes - the display brightness +/- doesn't strike me as a usability upgrade over a slider? Puzzling change.

This did appear to add the distance to destination miles left in IPC when using CarPlay navigation.

I am also no longer getting the pop up BC on, which is nice as that was so annoying. I hope I wasn't hallucinating, I even pulled over and turned the car off and back on, as it only appears at the first use of BC/ACC on a drive, but nothing when turning it on! I do have the prompt off in settings, but this is for a different prompt about when BC is available or something like that. I've never seen that prompt as I've always had that setting off.

I noticed this too, Do you think it will pre-condition if you are routing to a charger in CarPlay now?
