Only communication I got from Ford was confirmation the delivery date was shifted out ... on the last day of the ORIGINAL delivery window.

Man, their communication is awful. I shouldn't be waiting days for an automated email for something they already have on their website.

I'm on a business trip Oct 10-14 ... with my luck the car shows up early and I can't take delivery.

My delivery date from this week just got pushed to November 9th. This means My car will have spent over two months in KS!

Well, my estimated delivery date of 9/18-9/24 has come and gone. Latest from the dealer is just that it was last scanned in Kansas on 9/9 (previously they would only tell me Kansas, but not when that scan was). Today I checked ford.com and my estimated delivery has been updated to 10/11-10/17.
Yesterday I got an email from Ford, confirming the updated 10/11-10/17 delivery date that I'd noticed on the website.

Today, I got an email from my dealer saying that my MME has just arrived at the dealer, and that I can pick it up "in a few days, once the service department has completed a pre-delivery inspection to check for recalls and prep the car for delivery."

I'm hoping to pick it up on Saturday. (Which will also push the registration renewal date from September to October, which I prefer.)

Same for me. Mine has been in KS for a few weeks and was slated for 9/21-27, but now has been pushed to Nov 2nd. WTF? I just can’t understand why it would sit there for two months.

Got the following update from Ford chat.

In Transit -Arrived Rail - Railcar # KCS 008153 (Kansas City Southern Railway Co )-
Internati, MO

Not sure where that is. Has anyone ever had their car go through that location? A quick search in this forum does not show any results for either that location or train car number.

It is widely known that the Park Assist feature is on hold for us and we can get it installed on a later date. But one thing that nobody at the dealership could answer for me is if we would eventually get our kick sensor working for the hatch. Does anyone know if something has been communicated about that feature?

No, you will not get that kick to open feature. And don’t hold your breath for Park Assist. I know Ford has blamed chip availability for both, but both features were very unreliable on the Mustang. I think Ford just used the chip issues as a convenient way to drop problematic features.

There is a thread on how to activate the kick sensor for the hatch, seems that the module was still being installed, just not activated.

Yeah, stuff like this as I have said a few times in this thread is why I wouldn't immediately get too worked up when the delivery window changes. Unfortunately the system Ford uses and has used is just based on certain markers and not a true fortune telling system. My car game in a week earlier than the revised date, as have many others in this thread. While a change in delivery date is still worth noting, it isn't something to get too upset about right away.

So our California has been stuck on ramp 8B in Vancouver, BC since 20-Sept and was supposed to be delivered today. I called Ford this morning and they said it would be delivered on 4-Oct, when we'll be out of town for 3 weeks. The dealer said they're totally okay with holding it for us thankfully, but Ford needs to get their shit together. I'm in central WA and the car was already in the US, then they decide to take it back out of the country where it's been sitting in limbo for almost 10 days and no one has a single clue as to why or when it's at least going to start making its way back down.

I sincerely hope I'm the only one that's experiencing this, because this has been the most needlessly frustrating ordering experience I've ever endured.

That will work presuming the module is actually there. I don't know that we can presume it will be there on Job 2 2022s.

Of course, you have to ask yourself, "Why did Ford include the hardware, claiming was it was removed due to chip holds?" The only real answer is that the feature was unreliable and needed a lot more software work. Sometimes it wouldn't activate when you want it to, which isn't too big a deal, but frustrating. Worse was it activating when you DIDN'T want it to, causing the trunk to hit walls and ceilings and whatnot.

Anyway, Ford may or may not be putting in that software work, given that they're moving to a totally new OS for 2023. I wouldn't expect them to ever make that feature available, particular since they told us it wasn't there at all for 2022.

similar boat here. Car has been in the US since late August, but sitting inKS for a month now, with a new ETA pushing it out another month. So frustrating.

Ours was in KS about a month ago too, so I wonder if yours is sitting there with mine. They apparently rely on the shippers to update the tracking, which doesn't appear they do a very good job of.
