Maybe a moot point now since it sounds like I can no longer use X plan to order a new MME, but how does one qualify for X plan to begin with? I just got a new Bronco which was my first Ford. Since I realized I couldn't use it for Bronco either I didn't bother to consider it. But with owning and financing my Bronco thru Ford wouldn't I automically qualify as having X plan?
I saved this link from way back:
https://www.oxmoorflm.com/ford-a-x-z-plans/x-plan-partner-companies/

It has a list of possible partners. It's a moot point for 2023, but the partner companies are many assuming someone works at a "BIG" company.

I think MCA is the easiest (I did that). I bought stock too, but there is back and forth due to getting the PIN and someone at Ford manually dealing with it which is why it was pulled and not allowed anymore (I'm ok with that). Stock is also more expensive honestly and you're forced to put more $$ in the game/at risk.

I think MCA is the easiest if you weren't in a partner company.

Is there a way to determine the pricing for xplan by using the chart included on the website for 2022 premium? Dealer is having difficulty calculating xplan on order due to the price protection stating they don’t have the original invoice

If I’m looking at it correctly, it should be
$48,097+$5915 (extended range-$6000-$325 active prep assist +$240 interior protection package)+$1100 delivery+$100 doc fee+$275 admin fee for a total of $55487 to arrive at a total before tax. Let me know if I am correct with this. My car is price protected too so not sure how that plays out. Original sticker was $57140

Do we know if these “Plan” discounts come out of dealer or Ford profit?
If it comes out of Ford, maybe ask for it to use toward an extended warranty???

For 2022 orders, there is some ~$10.50 lot fee or something making the calc a bit more confusing. I think the easier calc is to use ((MSRP (include $1100 destination + $10.65 or so) * 0.98 ) + $275.

The chart on the partner website is also wrong since it doesn't include the $1100.

PP is dependent on the dealer how they do it (immediate credit or send you a check after they receive from Ford). If they price protect immediately, they can adjust the price on line A at the top, but a lot of dealers don't do it that way I've seen here. Immediate is better since you don't pay tax on that amount and don't have to 'wait' for the dealership to send you a check, but dealerships work their own way so it might be hard to argue this.

Ford no longer gives stockholders x-plan pricing (eff. 06/16/22?). MCA is the choice if you’re not otherwise eligible.

So MSRP minus options as I have the extended range battery, activebprep assist kit and interior protection mats?

In this case $51,800 +1100 dest= $52,900

$52,900 *0.98+10.60+275=52127.60

$52127.60+$5915 (options)=$58042.60 plus tax, title and $100 doc fee?

Although I don’t know if that is correct because it is price protected at $57140 which is less than the xplan price. I’m so confused

You would think with the massive price increases, Ford would at least throw us a bone and keep X plan in place. Ford is just doing what every other company is doing, maximizing profits on the ridiculous spending.

X-Plan is MSRP including all options, and delivery, x 0.98 plus $275. New lot fee added.

Calculated on old price, not new price.

So if I have this correct, in my case with the price protection the total MSRP is $57140

$57140*0.98+$275+$10,60 lot fee=$56,282.80 plus tax, title, registration

Doc fees are capped at $100 as well correct?

If $57,140 is your original MSRP, yes.

Really is a pointless discussion. If you ordered a 22 on Xplan you should have a signed order that already details the pricing and taxes out the door. I do from my dealer. The day I ordered my dealer had a customer refused Select on the lot and I asked them if I could get it Xplan. They said nope, only on ordered vehicles. You may be lucky and find a refused on the lot at a dealer that will go Xplan on it but the odds seem very sliim for that as chances are you will have to travel or pay additional delivery.

Personally, I would just cast a 500 mile net on Autotrader for a customer refused order and attempt to get a 22 refused or dealer stock at MSRP.

It’s not pointless at all. The dealer is willing to do this and price protect. We just didn’t sign the order at the time of reservation. The only thing they need to do is calculate the xplan price and I’m good. My car has shipped and will be at the dealer in the next week or two as it is on a transport carrier
