A, Z, X plan discount pricing for Mach-E

Nope.. it's the NEW CAR SALES manager, who damn well knows how the X-plan works... this is a good sized dealer in Naperville, IL (Chicago suburbs).

Sometimes, I think a lot of times dealers/sales people just have no clue and aren't that interested in learning. Watching that vid on price protection or getting them to print out the DORA for the original invoice x-plan price or them calling Ford Marketing or what not sets them straight (see enough of those posts after the fact/work too).

Been reading here for what seems longer than it actually is and sometimes, ignorant dealers aren't really out to scam people, but just have no clue and aren't that interested in figuring it out.

This is absolutely on point. With employee turnover they generally are less knowledgeable than these forums. I had to call the Ford Customer service on my phone for the Ford rep to walk the dealership finance mgr through Ford Options and redeeming Ford Pass Rewards toward purchase. So I think some cases can be lack of knowledge.

My wife's 11-17-21 order should be Z plan. Dealer that took the order acknowledged it, printed off an order sheet that he wrote the Z plan PIN on. My wife signed it, and it has the Z plan pricing spelled out. I assume they'll honor it based on all this. Maybe I shouldn't make that assumption.

I have used the X-Plan for my last two transactions with my Ford dealer. One to buy and one to lease so you get the pricing no matter the type of transaction. I agree, if your dealer will not accept the plans, find one who will.

BTW, if you become a member of the Mustang Club of America, one of the perks is X-Plan Pricing.

Roger that. PINs are good for one year. Having the Z Plan PIN written by the dealer rep on the order sheet that the parties signed would tend to be what we in the legal business call “evidence”.

He could also have circled the X-Plan price and signed it. Or written "X-Plan".

People post "I didn't know about X-Plan when I ordered" or "I hadn't belong to the organization that gave me X-Plan for long enough when I ordered".

You can order without qualifying for X-Plan, as long you have the PIN at time of vehicle pickup. Many companies provide it as a benefit. Youmcan join the Experimental Aircraft Association, Mustang Club of America, some college alumni associations, or buy 100 shares of Ford stock. Some require a 6 month wait (not companies to my knowledge).

Hi, Rob! Love the Mach-e. It's my Daily Driver while my Eco is my Weekend/Perfect Weather Warrior.

The Mach-e would make a great second car. I recommend analyzing how much driving she would do in a normal day, week or month to figure out how much range you'd need. For me, I knew I would need the Extended Range battery (a $5K option) with an EPA range of 300 miles. Many people are fine with the Standard Range battery of 230 miles. Remember, you can charge it every night (like you would a smart phone) so you'd have a "full tank" every morning.

What is the downside to a dealer for not accepting X-Plan? Way back when they said they did. Now they don’t….

my understanding was that Ford reimbursed the dealer the difference.

is there any recourse to a dealer accepting X-Plan for some orders and not for others?

had a friend pose as a ICE F-150 buyer - they said they would honor AXZ for orders, yet today they told me they would not honor it for my MME order.
My understanding is that was against the program guidelines.

Dealer can choose by model, and by type of sale (customer order vs dealer stock) whether to accept it. They can't choose by customer.

Yes, they get money from Ford.

I am looking at the CR1, AWD with Extended Range battery. Waiting for the MY23 order bank to open up. She drives about 300 miles per week, so the extended range should work well. It will actually be our main car as well; the Ecoboost is my weekend car as well! I work from home now, and have only put about 1,300 miles on it in the past year, LOL.

We also had solar panels installed, and overbuilt to accommodate an EV. Can't wait for the MME!

this is very deceptive of Ford, to show the x-plan pricing instead of the the MSRP! kinda reminds of Tesla showing the Potential Savings price instead of Purchase Price by default.
