I have the 2022 CR1 so I try to keep it between 30-80%.

Even though I set my charge limit to 80% at home, the car default to 100% everywhere else unless I set the limit at each new location. Seems like it should be the other way around :)
Yes, Ford’s software people seem to not have thought about you charging at a new place and didn’t think of setting a global limit. ??

I charge mine to 100% on L2 once a week and 90% on L3 unless I am on a road trip.

I avoid 100% unless going on a trip mostly because a full battery seems to have limited regen\1pd doesnt seem to work as well when over ~90% than concern for battery health.

I'm curious about the AC vs DC discussion. I am far from an engineer but as I understand it, besides the issue with DC fast charging, isn't maintaining the battery SOC at either extreme, 100% or 0%, bad for the (correction: NCM) batteries? Regardless of how the charge was achieved, AC or DC, shouldn't we avoid 100% whenever possible?
No.

Should the car sit for long periods of time at 100% SOC? No.

Will the world end? No.

Actually, it was at the dealership for 3 1/2 weeks one time. It sat on the lot for the first week, then on the charger for the next week. Off the chargers for a few days and then back on for the final week before I picked it up.

Long term 100% charge causes increased battery degradation due to undesirable side reactions in the cells. Sitting at 100% for a week or two isn’t desirable, but it’s not the end of the world.

You might want to set up a charge location for your dealer and set it to 90% for next time.

Ford should relay this info to the dealerships. Whenever I take my car in for service, they always charge to 100% and think they're doing me a favor. Lol
I saved the dealer location and set it to 80%.
