Mine is still on back order. Ordered it a few months back for our road trip that we took last month.

Thanks for this heads up. I've been looking at https://www.floodfordesp.com for a plan I'm comfortable with. It's my understanding that it doesn't have to be a purchase day decision. If I'm incorrect, then please, anyone advise me so.
Correct. The one pro to getting it at purchase is that it can be in the loan instead of having to pay ~$800~2000 out of pocket. You can buy afterwards, I bought one once right before the 3-year warranty expired. I think after the first year there is a surcharge ($100?) and maybe higher after year 2. Plus there could be price increases at some point even before the first year. Your Finance Specialist will try to convince you should buy before leaving his office.

Some people have a hard time reading ... you are asking for accessories not delivery advice...

As for the sun shade on the roof, I agree that it's probably not necessary. I think the car does a great job and some people actually report that the sun shades make it hotter.

A 12v jump pack is always a good thing to have, not only for you, but for any other stranded souls you may be able to help. Not to mention they also serve as a flashlight and phone charger.
  • First Aid Kit
  • Barf Bags - I keep them in the rear passenger doors
  • 12v Emergency Jump Pack / Flashlight (I use this one)
  • Small Umbrella
  • NEMA 14-50 15' extension cord (I use this one)
  • Dash Cam (I use this one)
  • Radar Detector - Depends on driving style obviously (I use this one)
  • Valve Stems that look better (I use these)
  • Cargo net for the trunk - I use one for a VW and modified
  • Tesla Tap - Depending on your area and where you drive (I use this one)
  • OBDII Reader - If you like to geek out or to view car data (I use this one)
  • Faraday Bag - If you plan on using PaaK (I use this one)
  • Tow Stickers - (I use these)
  • Rubber Floor Mats - I use the protection package ones from Ford
  • Smoke Colored Protective Film for Tail lights (I won't link what I used because it's garbage)
If you plan on doing any type of updating yourself I would recommend looking at some of the posts about how to drill for access to the LVB (or if it's a general concern).
i have several of the items in DevSecOps list but I added tow hooks recommended elsewhere in the forum which cost about $10 on Amazon.

Paint protection film (PPF). Get it scheduled prior to delivery and take it right in after you pick it up.

Where does one find the 12V jump point accessory and installation guide?

Especially useful for parents of small kiddos:
  • Cargo Organizer: I love having this for lots of reasons. When the straps are at their shortest length they're pretty much perfect for hooking to the cargo hooks with the cargo floor in the lower position. The plastic clamps on the straps are booty butt, but they work.
  • I keep some cleaning stuff in the pockets of the cargo organizer. I happen to like Chemical Guys stuff:
    • Microfiber Applicators
    • Leather Cleaner: Having this on hand at all times has saved me SO much stress over my wife + toddler regularly wearing a thick layer of sunscreen. Spray one side of applicator, scrub spots with it, use other side of applicator to remove excess / dry. Keeps the seats and door panels looking new!
    • All Surface Cleaner: again with the sunscreen.
  • Tesmanian Car Seat Protector (for child seats): My child seat warped the S out of the leather in my previous car before I realized it. I tried a couple of other covers like this to prevent warping and they all made the problem worse by leaving their own permanent imprints. The Tesmanian one is the first I've used that does a good job. I try to take the seat out on weekends to give the seat a break from the constant pressure of the seat clamped down. I think some reviews have said that the Tesmanian one can leave a sticky residue but I've definitely not had that happen. My car lives in the garage, though.
I also went nuts with gearing up to be able to do a touchless wash in the driveway (powerwasher, attachments, air cannon, etc...) but that could be a whole other post. I'm sure there's a dedicated thread on it elsewhere already.

Really glad I saw that 12V jump point before I drilled two 3" holes this afternoon! Something like that should really come stock.

Thanks for sharing these, all great tips. I bet there will be a few orders placed for that charge port door protector this morning, I just ordered one.

Car cover! The reason why I say this is because not only am now in the market for one, the three car garage, my car in (middle slot), housemates have their cars in there too and they pass through to get to their cars or the storage around. I noticed a scratch (which can probably be buffed/polished out) in my hatch area by the pony (go in reverse). I am thinking someones purse probably grazed it.

So anyone have any affordabe good car cover recommendation that will not scratch or swirtl the paint and plastic. For me covering just the backside will be probably be only necessary. The OEM one is out of stock and is pretty expensive but looks really good.

I didn't see this on the list so far (sorry if I missed it) but I picked up an extra 10mm wrench to keep in the car so I can disconnect the battery for roadside reboots, hopefully never needed.

the truly OPTIONAL accessories I have used with great success camping and at a car show have been running an electric teapot and/or induction cooktop in the frunk powered via jumpers from the 12v connection points after you mod the cover with a couple access holes that *should* have been standard design....

Have a link to the jump point addition? Seems like a better solution than the two holes/plugs.

Some people seem to spend more on accessories than on the original car purchase. ?

IMO, which is relevant only to me, some people buy way too much stuff expecting all sorts of issues that don't happen to most people ever. Does the tow truck not have hooks to hook into the proper location that you're going to show them? I would NEVER have some YAHOO tow me (like an F-150 owner, of which I am one) out of a ditch with any tow hooks. While I have a strap and such in my truck, I have never carried similar in my cars. Just one example.
