Came from a 2021 and miss the big button that used to go here. Would adding it back be too hard?

The button disappeared with the 2023 Job2 cars, I believe. @markboris added one to his 2024 and I copied him. You need to get the button and the bezel. I purchased a set from an online auto wrecker, while Mark got his (for less) new from an online Ford dealer. You will need a 6 pin (3x2) 0.1" pitch female header housing and matching wire terminations, along with some wire. You will run 3 wires to the switch. One is for the illumination (sourced from the license plate light's harness branch). The second is ground. The third is the signal trigger that goes to the BCM to open the liftgate (sourced from the center liftgate's harness branch). ??

Ha! I see Steve posted just before I did. But now you have both of our posts on how to add it back.
I didn't have the link so I posted a quick and dirty. ??

Phew - I dodged that bullet. My 2023 must be a "job 1" (didn't Ford used to say "Quality is Job 1", sorry for those with a Job 2 ;))

I use that button ALL THE TIME. Much more conveniently located on drivers side!

My 23 Gt must be a job 2. Doesn't have this button. I'm fine with it not being there. I can reach the center button just fine.

I can reach the middle button just fine, but it's such an obvious decontenting, I had to retrofit it. ??

I mainly reinstalled it because it’s illuminated. Many times when I’m closing the liftgate it’s in a dark area and having an illuminated button is much easier for me to locate.
