At a stop light, I had a guy in a beat up work truck point at my car with one hand and flip the middle finger with the other hand. The guy had right wing leaning political stickers plastered all over his truck bed tool box so I'm not surprised. ?

Also, I've had a few people road rage on me for no apparent reason. I could have been unintentionally driving like a jackass though. Sometimes I intentionally drive like a jackass but I try to make sure that no one else is around. ?‍♂

I have gotten a little hate. You haven't really experienced hate until you spend time in a Prius. People try and run us off the road.
I always feel sympathy for someone driving a Prius, "Man, they must have a shitty long commute if they have to resort to a Prius.."

Ironically the only real negative feedback I have got about our MachE was at the Union hall..

I think I might have been coal rolled by a diesel truck on the highway, or this guy really like accelerating fast, blowing black smoke in front of me for pure excitement. Lol

I showed my then 92-year-old father pictures of my 2021 Job 1 Mach-e just after I bought it. He asked what was under the hood, so I told him it was electric. I could see the gears turning -- he probably was thinking electric golf carts, so I told him 300 miles on one charge. His comment? "What will they think of next?" If a 92-year-old can figure it out and not have problems, so can everyone else.
Before my mom passed away, she was really enthused about my MME on reservation then order. She often told me that she couldn’t wait for the death ride in it. She was the Mustang owner in the family. Too bad the stupid cancer killed her two months before I got the car. ☹?

I would have loved to take my dad for a ride in the MME. I’d have had to take delivery on the Mainland and driven it their place. Should have done it honestly. No chance now. :(

No negative responses for me after almost two months of ownership. +1 to the OP for use of the term ‘Buford.’

Just yesterday a big Silverado tried to go in front of us and gas it to coal roll us, but he ran out of room to properly hit the gas pedal.

A little further up we pulled into the carpool lane because traffic was getting bad, and he jumped over in front of us just to gas it and properly roll the coal, and then jump back into traffic as we sped away in the carpool lane. ?
People that roll "coal" know that with every stomp on the gas they are sending some of their hard earned money to the middle east right? The irony is especially evident when you live close to West Virginia like I do. The state that is most associated with coal mining for electricity generation (until renewables take over) has very few EVs, very few places to charge, and lots of "coal" rollers.

I hate that politics would have anything to do with it. I’m sure like me there are owners that just want a great EV regardless of their political leanings.

But if you’re in a place where your charge is sourced from coal, are you coal rolling when you’re blowing EMF all over the cars around you? ??

There are a ton of people (in general) that just want a great EV. But, it's pretty apparent that some people think that EVs some kind of political statement.

My Dad was a Chevy guy and long time motor head, but he was really excited to check out my Mach-e. He had no hate for Fords or for EVs. For him, living in South Dakota, an EV wasn't very practical yet, but he was fascinated with the technology and instant torque. We talked about it nearly every week of the 10 months it took to arrive. He was diagnosed with cancer mid July and passed three weeks later; just one week after I took delivery, before I had a chance to drive it to him. I'm sorry for your loss, I feel your pain ?

I expected it in the T, but after one week of ownership I received my first single finger salute from a passenger in a chevy suv.

I didn't do nuthin, wasn't following close, wasn't agressive in any way. just putting along a 30mph street at 35 listening to a podcast.

as the chevy in front of me pulls away at the light, the passenger gives me the single finger salute.

at that point, i knew, i need to keep a bigger distance from buford. not sure why, maybe it was the "that's not a mustang" thing, dunno. maybe just EV hate i guess.

anyone else experience the love as such?
He gave you the finger because you are driving a Ford.

I was using blue cruise on the freeway during rush hour to keep distance from the car in front of me. Some angry little man in a Toyota Yaris was tailgating me. After a few minutes he whipped around me and sprayed me with windshield wiper fluid.
I've had a CR-V with adaptive cruise control for years and I know that sometimes people see the gap and think I'm going too slow. But I've never had anyone do anything like that before.
Was 1 pedal drive enabled?

EVs are a good idea politicians are doing their best to screw up.
