I can't be sure of someone else's motives but one time I was on an off-ramp that started as one lane leaving the highway, then split into a left turn lane, a left/straight lane, and a right turn lane. Some Denali behind me starts weaving side to side like they think I'm taking up three lanes (it's still just one lane) and when it finally opens up to three lanes, the guy passes me on the left to then cut just me off immediately again. Definitely felt like EV or "Mustang SUV = bad" hate.

Bonus content: after he cut me off I got into the right most lane, flipped him off as I passed, to which he then honked at me, flipped me off, and followed me for a few blocks. I don't attribute this section to EV hate cause it could just be bog-standard road rage
Yeah, I hear there’s a lot of that in Somewhere.

That wasn’t the part of the politics that I was referring to.
:)

I think it is some evidence of the difference in politics, at least.

Also, I didn't see a single giant perversion of the Canadian flag the entire time I was there. Maybe a few showing an unnatural affinity for moose, but that's about it.

Forgot who, but someone just recently said that their manhood doesn’t rely on whether they’re driving a gas car or an electric one, and I think that’s the approach a lot of these hating weirdos should take.
That was Pete Buttigieg in a Twitter reply (no politics here, just pointing to the source of the quote).

Sometimes not so much hate as under estimating a EV when trying to pull up on the outside lane and steam across in front when there is nobody behind you. Or merging from a on ramp, happened multiple times today but stood my ground.

I had a vet pull up next to me at a red light, then swerve in front of me after we got the green then take off like a bat out of H***. Guess the driver felt he had something to prove.

Why would a veterinarian act that way??

I got my first salute a few days ago from a young lady in the passenger seat of a bigger ICE. The car pulled beside me and she signified. My first one - usually I get thumbs-up or head nods. WTH?

I expected it in the T, but after one week of ownership I received my first single finger salute from a passenger in a chevy suv.

I didn't do nuthin, wasn't following close, wasn't agressive in any way. just putting along a 30mph street at 35 listening to a podcast.

as the chevy in front of me pulls away at the light, the passenger gives me the single finger salute.

at that point, i knew, i need to keep a bigger distance from buford. not sure why, maybe it was the "that's not a mustang" thing, dunno. maybe just EV hate i guess.

anyone else experience the love as such?
Based on your account Of this event, I’m not seeing anything that points to an EV as the cause. Kind of a stretch. We’re,you doing 30 in a 35 in the left lane?

I can see absolutely nothing about EV ownership, or the public’s perception of EV ownership that would cause someone to flip you off simply because you were driving one. Anyone doing so would have to wonder whether you could figure out why he was doing it Under those circumstances.

1 we were all doing 35 in a 30, one lane each direction, nobody was holding anyone up. the chevy was in front of me and i don't follow closely.

2 maybe in the utopia you live in, but here in the burbs of CHI-RAQ it's like people are always looking to unhinge on someone. road rage, EV rage, i see it often.

I have only received positive responses from other drivers and people walking by the car. In fact, I have forward and rear facing dash cams and I laugh at the people that walk around the car admiring it.

Hate it or love it I have seen two mach e’s in the last couple of days, one is in the neighboring area, it’s been around for a while. Another one is in Walmart parking lot, same color as mine, I walked up thinking it’s mine until I noticed the bottom of the rear bumper is painted, then realized it’s different from my select.
I am sure the number of Mach e will only grows.

Yup, they are slowly populating. Including mine, there are 4 MMEs I have sighted in my neighborhood. There are an additional 3 or 4 I have sighted in my town, plus one member of the forum living on the border with the next city over who got his car well before so got mine. ??

Only positive comments as well as a few questions from people curious about the car, its range and how it drives.

I frequently see MMEs in Jersey at charging stations.

Funny enough, based on what I’ve seen over the past couple of months: big malls mostly have Teslas and MMEs at their charging stations, whereas Walmart has quite a few Ioniqs and EV6s with the occasional VW.

Yes, on east side of Cincinnati, both times on 275; we, minding our driving manners, have been given the middle finger by pickup truck drivers. They would be really pissed if they knew that for the 3500+ mile's we have driven that our solar panels have provided all the kilowatts for us to motor in comfort and silence.

Many questions by others who want to know about charging, range, costs and what the hell is a frunk.
