Early 22 build here with front motor failure, HVJB replacement (didn't fail), constant PaaK, and Apple Carplay issues we still plan on keeping this car for a long time. I will NOT buy a replacement Ford product. Our 2019 Expedition had engine issues and multiple recalls so having problems with Ford products isn't something new for us. We really like the look of the MachE and now with Tesla charging access it has eliminated the main issue for us but quality is NOT job one for Ford these days.

You sound like us, after having our MachE 2 years we sold our Highlander and bought an old Bolt instead, I wfh so we have less use for 2 cars. We shuttle our boys and friends around a lot, but our city is very small so we just take 2 EVs when we need space.

My 2 boys are also very excited to get the MachE as their first car in 7 years but I am a bit concerned that it's too much car for a 17 year old boy.
I can answer that last piece for you. “Please stop launching the Mach-e!!!!” At every clear traffic light. The good news is that BlueCruise is telling my new driver to watch the road…so they get to hear it from the car instead of me. Also the problem with tech…. “Hey, before you started looking at the backup camera….did you actually look around the car with your own eyes?” This is definitely a first world problem, but my driver is going to a 95’ car with a manual. That will solve the tech and power problems.

Anyone planning on buying another mach e?

Not worn the old one out yet!

Although at 86,000 miles………we’re getting there.

Planned on running this one into the ground but just seen the new Explorer’s range, if it’s a more accurate estimate than ‘Stangy’s may give one of those a punt, although another Stang is very appealing as it’s drop-dead gorgeous?
To be clear, the Explorer EV is only available in Europe, where you reside.

Assuming I don't win the lottery, I'm perfectly fine with my 2021. I won't pay for BlueCruise so it's lack of updates is not really an issue to me and I have had no major issues with mine.

The forthcoming Porsche Macon and Cayman EVs might be interesting but I'll bet they are priced too high to be tempting.

If I had to replace my MME today, I'd likely test drive a few others but would be happy to get another one.

Other models that I'd probably test drive:
  • Kia EV6
  • Porsche Taycan 4s / Audi eTron GT (if I could find a great deal on a used one)
  • BMW i4
  • Polestar 2

I've had my '21 GTPE over 2.5 years now and was curious if any other owners have any opinions on their next vehicle, will you go for a newer mach e with the latest software and slightly better efficiency, or are you thinking about looking elsewhere? At 3 years the basic warranty is done along with free trials on a lot of the tech features. I think the depreciation is greater than other similarly priced vehicles. Just curious on others opinions on this.
I have a 2021 GTPE that I took delivery of in January 2022. I bought a 7 year 100,000 warranty at purchase. I will drive this car that I love until the new Mach e or other similar EV’s have a 600 + range or I run out of warranty. That was always the plan and I think it will work out. I only drive about 7000 miles per year.

I love(ed) my '21 Mach-E. I took delivery in June of 2021 and though I planned on keeping the car "forever" did the Options plan because it was less expensive than a straight finance.

Fast-forward to spring of this year and....and now I have an "option" I hadn't thought too much about. So I checked the value - and even in March, I was a little negative on equity. (I had a zero-damage accident that ended up on CarFax on top of the Tesla/Ford price cuts, probably.)

So I started test driving other (ahem) options. My list of things I didn't love about our Premium 4X was short: ride quality ("after-bounce"), very mild disappointment with the B&O, and mild disappointment with the BlueCruise shenanigans. (I barely used the HFBC during the trial but am still curious about 1.3/1.4.)

A '23 Mach E GTPE was in the running (but never drove to see if Magnaride did enough for the ride quality) but a Genesis GV60 Performance took the top spot.

By the end of March, I was probably 40/40/20 on keep/GV60/GTPE. (If the GTPE had a light interior, it might have had a better chance.)

With a good chance of keeping the Premium, I sent it in for the glass, HVBJB, and other recalls and the dealer picked up the car on April 1st. And their valet got rear-ended on the way there. And then took 17 days just to do the recall work and sat on it a week before sending any information to the other driver's insurance company for the collision work.

So with a second accident on CarFax (and a really-for-real collision repair), the keep/GV60/GTPE numbers went to 0/80/20 as prices of GV60s and supply of GTPE were decreasing steadily.

By the end of April, the cost to lease a GV60P for 3 years was less than financing the Premium's balloon (and buying an extended warranty) and not appreciably more than the best deal I found for a GTPE.

It doesn't beat the Mach E on all fronts but it beats it in ways that are more important to us (ride, much better B&O that plays discrete surround sound, ventilated front seats, lots of other lux features.) and loses in ways that aren't so important to us. (Frunk, hands-free highway driving, rear cargo space.)

If Lincoln made a version of the Mach E, that might have ticked a lot of the same boxes for us as the GV60.

Love my 22 GT. It's been great. 2 years left on options so will have to wait and see what all is available in 2026. At that point I will have two teens getting ready to drive and I'm not sure I feel comfortable putting them in a GT. So currently I'm thinking either new Mach-E, Rivian R2, Kia EV3/5. Two years is a long time so we'll see what is on the market at that time and pricing, etc.

I can positively, definitely say "maybe". I have a 23 which I really like and had planned on going 3 years with it and then trade. However the big price drop happened soon after I bought this so since it is an enjoyable car to drive anyway, I'll just keep this for the long term.

I love the car and not had any problems ('21 Ex AWD) but I will be changing this year, I'm not convinced of the longevity of the seat material and the ride is too hard/bouncy. If the Mach E gets better 'selectable/intelligent' suspension and a leather option then I would buy again. It's better looking than many other vehicles and the software is getting more refined after 3 years.

Been there. Done that .
Traded in my 21 Select for a 23 GT. I couldn't pass up the deal. It ended up being $4000 less than I paid for the Select 3 years ago. Got some kinks to work out on it but nothing serious . Tinted the windows last week and Im ready to roll .
I've had the GT for 3 months now and still don't understand the appeal of the all glass roof.?‍♂

I purchased a 2022 Mach-E Standard in March of 2022. Two months ago I traded it in on a 2023 Premium. The range on the Standard was just not working for me. So yes, I would and did purchase another.

I bought my GT in March and it is decided that as my previous car, my next EV will be a Tesla. Traditional manufacturers have their head up their a$$es building EVs. "lets put in a battery and an electric motor
and we are done" is not how is done.
I bought the MME over the Tesla mostly because I thought that Ford has more experience at building a CAR. My son bought a Tesla and convinced me to buy an EV. We drove both vehicles and went with the MME. We'll see what happens...
