I’m currently using “Car Scanner Pro“ and viewing on the iPhone screen. Certainly would be convenient to be able to view the OBD data on the big screen. I tried “On Track” but couldn’t get it to even work on my iPhone. There is an app called “0BD Fusion” that claims to have CarPlay compatibility but has no trial version.

You might have to go with a CarlinKit AI box instead (Android CarPlay device) since Apple is extremely picky about what you can have on CarPlay.

Yes, OBD Fusion works well with CarPlay and will display PID’s that you choose in the app on your phone on the Sync display. It can also display DTC’s.

However, you can not use OBD Fusion to see the real time dashboard guages on car play. Bummer, I was all excited and purchased it along with the upgrade for my MME. However, I can create a list of pids and read those on the big screen.

Thanks. Apparently Apple somehow prevents an app from displaying real-time data. I’ll pass on it and stick with my phone as a display.

I’m have OBD Fusion, and it does work on CarPlay. I don’t use it on car play, so I cannot attest to how good or bad it is, but the icon is there and I can run the app.

I can… I have one page for my Mach-E with everything EV related… and they all show blank. Now... the car scanner app shows all the info correctly so I know it’s not the car OR the adapter

for what’s worth, even using the iOS app shows the values as empty so I’m guessing the app isn’t reading the Mach-E PIDd right

Ok so exactly which car scanner app do you use. There are a few under that name in the iOS app store

OK, here are my findings, just tested……
CarScanner(pro) works with Apple CarPlay, just checked…..
On your IPhone, go to settings, general, click on CarPlay, if CarPlay is supported, it will show “ My Cars “, click on a car, click customize & it shows all default apps, and any others which can be added or deleted.
FYI- I have 12 or 13 pages set up in Carscanner on my phone…..
in CarPlay, it shows those pages, but will only display the first 10 PIDS!
I am going to add another page w/ PIDS and see if it adds that page to the CarPlay Display……
This is GREAT……Bill P

I use the OBDLINK MX+ dongle….., expensive, but works, can leave plugged in! Bill P

Just saw this on the Reddit:

Was just about to copy my post here. Here are the screencaps.

The first shot is a custom page I built in the app to monitor AC charging and 12V battery status. From what I can see it ports over to CarPlay intact EXCEPT that CarPlay only displays the first 10 PIDs as you can see in the second shot. I have the first two slots blank on my page and my 10th PID is HVB energy to empty. My car is obviously not plugged in or charging as indicated.

I’ve also posted some screencaps of the tire pressure and 12V battery pages that come standard under the Mach-E profile as well as the home page and acceleration page.
