Not like German cars were being driven around proudly in America during WWII….

Face of your company does enough bad things there will be people judging you for supporting them. And they won’t just be “unhinged lunatics”.
Uh, yeah because we never imported German cars until a few years after WWII ended. But we better stop with the politics now or else the thread will get locked and we will never learn what happened when the OP got back to the airport!

Given that he has had almost 2 days to get back to us, I doubt he will. Something happened…..Perhaps something embarrassing to the OP……And we will likely never get an update.

Never happened of a charger draining an EV. Owned one for 3.5 years, and am on a dozen forums and never heard this, EVER.

Alos never heard of plastic "pulling back".
I had a problem with my home charger (Level 1) a few months back, where the charger was draining my battery. I plugged it in, checked the charging status about an hour later and noticed the charge level was half of what it had been when I plugged it in. Luckily I caught it before the battery drained completely. I contacted Ford and they had no clue. It hasn't happened since.

Ever been on the phone recently and wondered if you were talking to a real person or an AI chat bot?

I’m having those feelings right now.

After almost three years of use, my standard charger that came with the car, would randomly stop charging. I went to the service department amd turned in the charger, they went to the parts department and immediately replaced the charger with a new one.
Your car should be under warranty, go to a different dealer and ask them to replace it under the warranty.

For what it's worth, I've had my Mach-e for over 3 years and have had no problems. On longer trips I do drive in the granny lane, it's remarkable how that improves the range. I hope your experience improves.
so i get an instant km/kwh reading using Car scanner pro on the main display (carplay). I can confirm, it shoots up a lot staying under 60mph. Doing like 55 will net you noticeable more range, but it is a bit slow.

Got back to airport, 12v wasn’t fully dead, drove home fine?

Most likely.

And it goes down a lot more the faster you go. 80 mph is awful. BUT, depending on your situation that might be ok. I've found driving faster and having to charge longer/more often typically gets me to my destination faster than driving slower. (according to ABRP)

That said, I've been on a trip where Plug Share indicated a flaky EA charger in an otherwise charging desert. I kept my speed down so I could skip that charger 'just in case' the charger wasn't working or there was a line.

We’re still waiting for the OP to tell us what went down upon his return to the airport…

I, for one, hope OP chooses to stay away from updating (and this forum in general), lol -- man, what a frustrating read this thread is.

I think OP left the car ON and locked. Ran the battery empty.

Mine is awesome. 2022 with 40,000 miles. I'm going to say sounds like operator error

I, for the life of me , can't see how that would be possible in any scenario. Even with optimal charging speed. Can someone do the math here for me?
