Love it!
But, and I assume you did replace the latch mechanism.
I used my Frunk every day. I thought of it as my laptop safe.
Until the latching mechanisms failed.
Then I needed a safe-cracker to get my laptop out.
Ford didn't expect people to use the frunk as much as I did, about 4 times a day, and the mechanisms failed spectacularly. They had to dig around to get at the failed part; they really had no official, pre-planned way to open the hood.
Sorry to say, I've given up on the frunk for this reason. Luckily, it was covered by warranty, but now that I'm past warranty, I don't want to pay a grand to retrieve my laptop.

Same… I’ve lived most of my life without needing that space.

original latch stays, added pulling latch. I use my frunk for same reason as you, plus wallet and clean clothes when I'm fishing. Daily use, multiple times a day that's why I installed auto kit.
Especially it benefits my family and neighbors since very often I'm coming and leaving at wee hours when normal people usually rest.

I love this mod!!! However, I use PAAK almost exclusively. Is there an open button or a way to utilize it with PAAK or do you HAVE to have the Fob?

Besides the fob, you can use PAAK (under the Controls section), the keypad on the drivers door (press 7/8 after entering your unlock code) or the soft touch button on the Sync display.

Hi,
Nice 👍 did You install it yourself ? Is it difficult ? Does it come with instructions for installation ?
Just curious, they probably doesn't ship to Denmark (now that Trump can't have Greenland 🫣)

@SimonT installed it. I expect He will have installation video soon. Also, he would be able to answer about international shipping.

Wiring is 100% to all modules plug and play. Only have to connect one12V positive and negative at battery terminals.

You do have to replace the hood struts with powered ones, replace the bumper stops with spring plungers, replace hood catch with a new one and add an additional latch, motor and electronic module and route and emergency release cable through to the access hole in the bumper. Very straightforward and easy to install. Recommend a second person to hold the hood while replacing the struts on each side.

I added this feature to my MYP and I absolutely love it. I had been using the Frunk for takeaway food and other things prior to the powered frunk install. Of all the third-party accessories I have installed this, and Enhanced Auto's commander are my two highly recommended accessories. Congrats!

I think you're probably right. Observe the frunkless option on the 2026 as supporting evidence. First thing they cut to build it for less. JMHO...
