Avoid EV Hankook Tires!

I bought 4x EV Hankook iON. They come with 0 warranty! And despite the reviews, they have to be replaced after less than 20,000 miles! I bought these in November and it's only March now. American Tire, where I bought them, says nothing they can do. Avoid like the plague!

The Hankook iON evo AS SUV tires have a 50,000 mile warranty. And I’ve been rolling on them for about 15,000 miles so far with no problem. Not sure what you bought or where you’re getting your info?

EVs have the power to destroy any tire in less than 5000 miles... it depends on how you drive regardless of the warranty.

They do not have a treadwear warranty if he is running the iON EVO. They are summer tires which do not come with a treadwear warranty. The iON EVO AS all seasons have a 50K mile treadwear warranty. The only summer performance tires I know of that have a treadwear warranty are select Michelin's.

You probably bought summer (not All season) iON EVO's tires which DO NOT come with a treadwear warranty. Only select Michelin summer tires come with treadwear warranties and they are usually only around 30K miles

I'm down to about 5/32 on my all-season Hankook's after about 36k miles of driving with them. Rotate every 10k miles. But I do accelerate hard because.....EV torque! If I drove more gently I'm sure I would have more tread left.

We all know EV's use up tires faster than ICE vehicles.

The iON EVO AS all seasons have a 50K mile treadwear warranty. The only summer performance tires I know of that have a treadwear warranty are Michelin's.

Yup. I’ve been running Hankook ION evo AS on my 21 for about 8 months now. They’re doing fine, warranty and all. Summer tires are cool and all but yeah.

Sounds like you ran summer tires through the winter. That would explain everything!

So let me get this straight: you bought summer tires and you used them in Nebraska during winter? And you are complaining about tread longevity? You should be thankful you didn’t get into a fatal accident.
