Don't trust the Guess-O-Meter. Although if you put in a destination into the built-in navigation system, and you've been driving for a few months so knows your driving profile, it's useful.

Instead use your trip meter to track your energy-per-km over different trips.

Enjoy the car! If you're planning any long trips, use the combination of ABRP and PlugShare to pick your charging stops. I prefer reliable chargers near good restaurants, rather than the fastest chargers on the side of the freeway.

The Guess O Meter is ballpark at best. It will adjust based off your driving but I never use it as a calculation when traveling. I monitor how many mile i travel every 20% when on road trip. Daily driving I don’t even care as I charge to 90% every day

Yes, I understand the meter is not the gospel. Just looking for comparative data, out of curiosity....
Summer is good with summer tires and non need to heat the battery. Unless it's *too* hot, then air-conditioning can be a pretty big draw. But my Guess-O-Meter fluctuates more with how much highway driving I've been doing, and the speed of the highway I'm on. If I've been doing a lot of city driving, it can get pretty high. I have the GT in km so it's not really comparable.

3.2 mi/kwh at 65mph without heat, roughly.

This was my graph of efficiency versus temperature (lower line). I would expect to see about 2.74 m/kwh or max 250 miles (from 100% tp 0%). This assumes about a 60 mph average speed.

Range is pretty complicated which is why people get so frustrated with the guess o meter but you'll get the hang of it. Things you can't control are outdoor temp which reduces it when cold, the wind which could help or hurt or do nothing, precipitation which will reduce range.

You can control your route to some extent, you can control your speed. Your motors use the most power by far so drag and distance are your worst enemy and drag goes up (velocity is squared) with speed , I forget the exact break even point but it's around 3.2 mi/kwh around 60-65 mph for the er awd, drive faster and much worse range, drive slower (like in the city) and it could go up to 4 or 5 potentially.

Your cars systems use a little power with the heater using a bit at times especially if it's really cold but we're talking 200kw+ for the motors vs 5 kw for the heater, but if the heater runs at 5kw (it won't unless it's really cold) for 3 hours that's getting significant.

What this boils down to ultimately as long as the price of energy is not much of a concern and your not maxing out your range on the regular is simply not something to worry about, leave the car plugged in set to charge to 80%,.

If you want to maximize your range, slow down, especially on long trips.

300 miles at 70F at 60mph without significant altitude change is reasonable.

I agree with the other comments snd will say what you report in the GOM is about typical for 40 degrees or so. I have the 23.5 MY of your configuration. In warm weather the GOM could easily extrapolate to 300 miles + if charged to 100%. This morning I charged to 80% and GOM is around 211. A little math suggests about 260+ if charged to 100%. It’s 40ish where I live. I drove about 60 miles yesterday with temps in upper 30s, cold enough fpr the snowflake symbol to light up, amazingly some light snow flurries, cold drizzle, wind, various road types, congestion and speeds. The current trip function was showing anywhere from low-mid 2’s m/kwh to 3ish. My GOM estimates high 10-15 miles give or take compared to the miles/kwh average displayed in trip display multiplied by Car Scanner’s displayed battery then current kwh level. If I’m really concerned I will go by trip dispalyed consumption rate x Car Scanner kwh level. All that said, driving around town, don’t worry about it and when spring rolls around the GOM numbers and m/kWh burn rate will be much more fun to look at.

Can you expect 300 in summer? Sure. Even 400, just drive 25mph all the time.

Ballpark - highway, warm weather, 70mph, flat roads, you'll get 2.9 to 3.0 miles per kWh or 275 or so in range. Cold weather, you'll see a hit of 20%, or more, depending on many factors. I plan my trips with 2.7, in the winter 2.5 or less.

It just really depends on a lot of variables. Temperature, humidity, rain, snow, wind and terrain. Highway for me in Georgia summer is around 235-250 depending on my speeds and variables. Winter and I’m 180-200

My AWD extended range is 3 weeks old, 1200 miles. I just charged it to 100% for the first time this morning. GOM read 275 miles. It was maybe 40 degrees in the garage. I didn’t want to leave it fully charged so I drove it 50 miles, and it is at 86% now. That last 1% from 99 to 100 took a long time. So I won’t be doing that often. I got it down to 10% before I took it to 100%. I have been charging to 85% and getting about 220-225 on the Guess O Meter at that.
