Yup. Stuck paying $1000 less than originally agreeing to.
No, actually it was $2600 more than I originally agreed to. My initial order was for a Premium ER AWD (i.e. an FE without a little red paint).

But later I switched to an FE based on the quoted price differential of +$1600 (which jumped to +$3600 on us after the fact).

LOL. Yeah if you choose to ignore the important part. ?
for me the important part is what the bottom line cost of the car was. I was willing to pay for a First Edition and I paid less (which means every month paying less) now.

different people define "important" differently.

I considered the purchase decision important. And the purchase decision included the evaluation of each trim and it's price difference relative to the other.

I wasn’t happy at first, but I got over it. Now having driven the Premium I was going to get (the dealer FCTP) and my FE, I am REALLY happy with my FE and all those extra touches. And I am happy it was $1,000 less than I thought it would be.

Just wait until that highly sought GT comes out and maybe you don’t get any bonus cash like on Bronco from FMC. There will probably be rending of garments and gnashing of teeth.

I had too, mostly, and I certainly like the extras (even though they're not worth $3600). But it still nags at me just a tad how it went down. Enough to comment on it when the price change was brought up in this thread.

It's when someone replies trying to say that the objection isn't valid that's infuraiting. That's where the convo went south and spiraled. Guess it's harder to understand if one wasn't in that situation. Especially for the MachDroppers that switched from Premium AWD ER to the FE (functionally the exact same car) for +$1600 (that became +$3600 when it was effectively too late to switch back).

Getting back on topic for this post...

The $600 price increase seems to match the hands free driving option cost that was not ready for the initial cars as mentioned earlier. Hopefully that is it.

Another possibility is a price raise for some 2022 model year cars as those start to come out.

My 2 cents: Cars that have the window sticker created already won't see the price increase. But I think the newer built cars in May will see it.

Looks like they also increased the price $600 on the CA RT1 as well....

That's a reasonable guess, but it doesn't make sense to me that they would show a price increase on the X-Plan site, yet the car can still be ordered on the Ford site at the original price. If they are indeed raising the price, why wouldn't the price increase occur in both places?

Letting someone order at one price and then raising the price later can really lead to some bad feelings. I placed my order at the old price and if they try to charge me $600 more, I will certainly evaluate my options...

I don't understand how Ford decides to arbitrarily give some states X-Plan (correction = Options Financing) rebate $2500 and other states $1000? Are you hearing this FORD? Washingtonians are important too!

Why do you think it was arbitrary, and why do you conclude that Ford doesn't think Washingtonians are important?
I'm quite certain it was a carefully considered decision, and I'm just as certain they think all customers are important.
