I never change the air in my tires based on mileage. doing it seasonally is more important - winter air is different from summer air - just like gasoline blends.
It's best to get that dense, heavy, winter air out of the tires as soon as you can. Just another little efficiency boost for summer!

TL;DR
By scavenging oxygen and the even more damaging free radicals that insidiously damage your tires from within, you greatly improve the ride and life of your tires. Such treatments are mandatory if you really care about your precious Mach-E.

I look forward to this service every April but use a patented probiotic spray that continuously scavenges tire-damaging oxygen that even nitrogen fills can’t prevent. It isn’t enough to fill your tires with pure nitrogen as naturally occurring osmotic forces will slowly push atmospheric O2 across the tire rubber/belt gradient, quickly diminishing the nitrogen fill benefit and destroying your tires.

Another reason dealers suck. Markups, "let me talk to my manger," 4 hour visits just to take a test drive, and crap like trying to sell a "battery balancing service." Unbelievable.

Name names, @LF699, what shady dealer is this? If it were me I'd be contacting @Ford Motor Company, and not just here on the forum.

Dealers hate EVs because most of their profit comes from service and EVs are almost maintenance free. Hence, they're probably trying to invent new sources of revenue.

@Ford Motor Company knows of these issues. Some years back, they sent a letter to all dealers requesting they stop recommending services not specified in the Maintenance Schedule. I have a copy of the letter. Useless. These are independent franchisees, Ford cannot stop their behavior.

Ford provides the maintenance schedule in the manual (in vehicle, in FordPass, at owner.Ford.com), and the maintenance schedule is also in FordPass. Unfortunately, a significant number of owners never look at it and get taken by dealerships.

Yeah, I understand that and I’ve been around plenty long to know how dealers operate. But this one is beyond the pale. It’s not even a real service, unlike the needless fluid exchanges or induction cleaning services that dealer service departments pad their profits with.

I'd submit that we have no idea what the dealership intended to do as far as this goes. All we have is what a Service Advisor told the customer. Maybe it was conditioning the 12v battery...

For that price they should shampoo, condition and style it

- Rotate tires (reduces differential strain and maintains performance)
- Replace blinker fluid with full hygroscopic synthetic fluid (alleviates moisture in headlights)
- Clean thermal exchangers and cooling slats (may be impacting charge times)

Blinker fluid ? However, it is very important to replace the air in your tires every 10k miles, especially for EVs
I always change the summer air for winter air for the cold season.
