When replacing the battery you'll actually reset the car's memory of the battery. Settings for the car are written 'to disk'. So no worries there.

When replacing the battery you'll actually reset the car's memory of the battery. Settings for the car are written 'to disk'. So no worries there.
this is something I'm curious about as I've read that you have to do certain steps when replacing the 12v. This was on a lightining document but guessing its same as mach e. First step in the instructions says "de-energize the HVB" (I'm told this isn't needed to be done) But then at the end of the installation it talks about doing the "door window initialization procedure" to complete the replacement.

No. In most cases it will remember all of your settings (at least with updated software). Worst case you'll have to fix just a couple things.
