ON NC147 south bound and south of Durham near Ellis Road there is a sign posting 65mph. My Mach-E reads it as 85mph and off I go. Others in the area have experienced this as well. It's like an easter egg.
Exactly. I believe if the company wants to use this feature as a golden egg goose it has to provide some way of reporting the glitches like this and fix them from time to time

Do not like it at all since it stays too far left in lane. Our tesla y auto pilot is amazing and sold on its ability to drive hands free. We have a free trial but not something worth 15000.
Funny yours stays too far left, because mine always favors the right. I am always concerned clipping a car when in a passing lane. When on an exit lane (or right), no issues.

Mine tends too far to the right for my liking too. Usually i have only 30 cm or so of lane to the right and 60 cm or so available on the left.

Also, may have already mentioned this, but BC does NOT disengage on our tolls highways here in Ontario, at least not for me.

It is not hard to check. Just look at both side mirrors and see the distance from the side of the car to the line. Make surer it is the same on both sides
I know, but people aren't as good drivers as they think they are.

Svenson (1981) surveyed 161 students in Sweden and the United States, asking them to compare their driving skills and safety to other people's. For driving skills, 93% of the U.S. sample and 69% of the Swedish sample put themselves in the top 50%; for safety, 88% of the U.S. and 77% of the Swedish put themselves in the top 50%.
Obviously 93% of people can't be in the top 50.

Well there's the problem the DOT has the lines all wonky. ? JK. ?

No idea why BC is dropping then. Unless you can try one of the lanes to the right and see if it matters or not, probably not.
Did a bunch of tests. Dropping happens only on that lane, the other lanes are ok. And it happens in a 100% of my tests

I'm just wondering are the maps of this ridiculously priced BC being enhanced actually.
On my way from the office home I have a little stretch. It is strait, no curves. Marking is fine. Nothing unusual. But for some reason the BC goes off on that stretch. It happens from the first day and keeps happening every day for a year and a half.
Also the BC usually ignores Speed limit for trucks except one that is a little different from others. It says

------------
| TRUCKS
|-----------
|Speed Limit
|
| 55
------------

My BC reacts on that particular one all the time for some reason.

How does the Ford enhance their BC software. Do they have a system of reporting and including the situations like that to their knowledge base?
Just to consolidate the responses of others:

1. BlueCruise mapping provides a geofence within which hands-free may be used. You can check the maps online to see if there is a gap at that spot. Otherwise, the maps are not the culprit.

2. It is more likely that the MobileEye camera system, which actually provides the Lane Centering functionality, is getting confused by something on that stretch.

3. Ford has provided no evidence that BC “learns” over time. Ford has claimed that the time between disconnects has dramatically increased from BC1.0 to BC1.2 to BC1.3 and that it used feedback from vehicles to accomplish this, but it hasn’t provided any specifics as to what feedback, or what changes. I suspect that much of this increase is attributable to (1) BC now staying engaged during lane changes with 1.2 and 1.3, and (2) Ford expanding the geofence on curves based upon data that the Lane Centering is doing just fine in those spots. But I don’t think either of those things are “machine learning” and none of that is going to apply to your situation.

4. BC has nothing to do with (not) “intelligent” speed sign recognition, which you should turn off.

Because it'll see something like a 55 mph sign meant for trucks and slow you down when you're not expecting it.
Yeah. It doesn't work well enough. Mine frequently gets tricked by the 45mph signs on frontage roads. And once it picked up an "80" somewhere which was interesting.

That is why you are supposed to be ready to intervene at any moment. From my experience in most cases it recognizes truck only speed limits. The described case is an exception. That is why I'm asking if Ford has a mechanism of reporting those exceptions to include in their algorithm or recognition pattern or whatever method they use for this.
