So no P&C sharing the membership. If you want P&C with the discount rate, you'll have to pay $50 per year per VIN. Or have the discount on one car with P&C, and use the ford app to activate for the other car.

Same kind of thing with VW and their free charging. The free charging gets added to your EA account, and then any time you activate a charger from the app its free. Doesn't matter what car you plug in after activating. (this could go away once VW adds P&C)
So far, you are correct. That may change in the future to allow multiple vehicles on one account. I hope so!

That would be nice for sure. If they can figure out a way to make it work, the only hold up I would think at that point would be EA. They may not be on board with allowing cars to share a membership.

I doubt EA would mind. You can share their $4/month membership across multiple vehicles. It just doesn't allow for P&C.

The reason I mention it, is because currently they have no way to enforce it. With P&C they can actually validate that the car plugging in is the one that is supposed to get discounted rate, they may actually want to enforce it. But as it is now, they can't.

It's only $6 a year more IF you travel monthly. Otherwise, since EA is so easy to upgrade and downgrade, you have to value Plug and Charge a lot.

One thing I don't know is whether long term Plug and Charge is more successful than EA's app. We used Plug and Charge a few times and then our free hours were gone. EA did fail on it some of those times, and also fail using their own app. Depending on which gets ironed out sooner, Plug and Charge could be worth a premium if it always worked and you travel a good deal of time.

For those not knowing, you can upgrade to EA's Pass+ in under 30 seconds in the app. You can then IMMEDIATELY downgrade. The downgrade will take place 30 days later. So, if I decided to take a trip tomorrow, I could upgrade before I left the house (vs. today, buying me one more day), and then downgrade immediately so I wouldn't have to remember to a month later. Easy, peasy.
Of course with EA alone, you have to pre-load $ into their account. I hate doing that and have it sit there.

Only $10. Hits $5, puts in $10. And so on. Automatic.

As noted, this was available for some a early as 1/13..

However no reports of success so far. I enrolled on 1/13, website shows active on 1/14 but as of 2/1 still getting $0.43 guest rate. So far I've received one refund for a charging session...

I attempted to upgrade my Blue Oval account at Ford's website, but it doesn't appear to be an option. When I go to my account settings under Blue Oval Charge Network, it just lists the components of P&C without any reference to the upgrade to the 25% EA cost reduction with P&C. Have they pulled this option, or are they only rolling it out to a group of customers at a time?

Last I heard was they were still looking into why it's not showing up for everyone.

I still don't have the option myself.

Ok - thanks. I'll just hang out and wait. I already downgraded my EA plan, but per the thread in this post, I'll be able to upgrade back to + if I take my next road trip before Ford allows me to upgrade Blue Oval. I'm looking forward to doing so, as I've had some occasional problems with EA's app, but P&C has never failed me.

Has anyone else seen the upgrade option show up for them yet? I just finished using up my 500 kWh of free charging and would really like to keep plug and charge enabled, but only if I can pay the cheaper rates.

I was having issues a month or two back and called Ford Marketing. They seem to take care of Mach-E issues related to the Blue Oval network. They put in a ticket with the IT department and I was able to sign up successfully the next day.

I will note that the first several charges I had did not reflect the discounted price after enabling the plan. I called back after discovering that and they said they were aware of the issue and logging the sessions that weren't properly discounted for reimbursement. More recent charging sessions have reflected the discounted price, but I still haven't seen the credits for ~$20 they owe me from the initial charging sessions. Definitely working the bugs out as they go... which I guess is OK as long as the follow-through on the credits.
