I am not aware of a block option on this forum. Just ignore. When someone quotes an ignored user it looks like this:

There is also this button at the bottom of each page of a thread that contains ignored posts:

I believe this forum calls blocking “2-way ignore”.

those only show if you have it set to show them (see my setting screenshot above). Otherwise you don't even know there was content ignored, and that's where the weird lost context thing can happen where it seems like someone is replying to nothing. (that's why I have the checkbox I showed, off).

This^^

If someone does this to you, you can’t see their posts………. Unless you log out.

Never done it. Seems kinda silly. Feels a bit like a middle school “silent treatment.”

Regular driving, both one and two pedal, requires the same set of reflexes - for quickly slowing down, and especially for hard braking, the driver needs to move the foot from the accelerator to the brake pedal and press it hard. But moving slowly in tight places, or inching forward or backward, is totally opposite - with normal, 2P driving, lifting off the brake pedal allows the car to move, and pressing it - stops it. With 1P - opposite. I definitely see how it can cause confusion and accidents, and switch to 2PD for this kind of maneuvers.
Agreed. I nearly did this in traffic using 1PD because I had my foot on the accelerator instead of the brake. I like 1PD for everything except parking.

"Muscle memory" is real.

As the title goes, driver confused the brake and accelerator in the parking lot and car ended up bouncing in two different curbs. Hoping that the battery isn’t damaged. Waiting for the tow truck. ?? 1600 miles and 4 weeks in. :(
Both Passengers were safe.

update: It was not a 1PD issue. From what I was told, driver was making a right turn to do a perpendicular park and regen didn’t slow enough. So to avoid hitting the curb he meant to slam the brake, but ended up slamming the accelerator. And with the instant torque, it jumped into the air. The same error on a gas car would probably not have caused this much damage.

update 2: Adjustor paid a visit to the body shop. He thinks it’s repairable. Body shop is gonna rip it open for further inspection and make a call.
Brake and accelerator hasn’t changed in a hundred years. Brake is left of the accelerator. 1PD is just a way to coast just slows the coasting down faster.
Glad I'm a 2 foot driver. Left foot brake, right foot go.
…so your the one with the brake lights on all the time…

Nope never touch the brake pedal unless I'm actually stopping

I think the Mach E would be better in a 6 speed manual. Lol

Well said. Has been my experience also. For scenarios where you would drive using brake pedal, you would need to do exactly opposite with 1PD. I wish the setting is easily accessible in the console to toggle between 1PD and 2PD.

I configured two separate profiles and switch between them using the buttons on the door. The one that is used for 2PD also has a different mirror position (tilted down to see the area around the rear wheel) and a little more reclined to feel the difference when I switch between profiles.

Brilliant suggestion! Thanks for sharing. My experience has been positive after 21,000 miles, most all of it 1PD, biggest anxiety moments come when switching to wife’s ICE vehicle and having to use the brake in parking situations, where it takes a split second to re-train my muscle memory.

That’s stupid (to use ignore except in very extreme cases coupled with reports to the administrators). Even if you may not agree, you lose the context in discussions! Oh well ?‍♂
Not really. There are a number of users of this forum that contribute nothing of value. On the very rare occasion I feel the need to establish context I can click to show ignored content and read their trash post.
It's true. There are at least six people that should be on everyone's ignore list. 7, once you include me.

There's a setting to allow you to get hints about context should you want a hint about context existing.

Yeah but every time I show the hidden posts, I'm reminded of why I hid them. Sometimes one needs a break from the nonsense. (Or a "brake" for all I care.)

I believe this forum calls blocking “2-way ignore”.

This option showed up in a forum upgrade last year... and defaulted to 3rd grader mode (enabled).

Please "be the better person" and turn it off, like @ARK has done on his. :)

You’re not anybody on the forum until
You’ve been blocked by 3/4 of the forum population. :p

I'm way past that number. ? ?
In my defense, four of the users on my list have been permanently banned from the forum. So I must be on to something. ??
