Brake caliper colors

Yea - you gotta paint them yourself (several videos and "how to" descriptions available on this site) or find a auto detail or paint shop to do it. I gave my local shop the color code for Grabber Blue and they mixed caliper paint to match.

what is the code for grabber blue, that is the color I am wanting to do mine and was just going to buy the paint and bring it to them...but this might be the easier way

Here is what I found and my shop was able to color match it with this information:

Ford Grabber Blue / #2b6be4 Hex Color Code​

The hexadecimal color code #2b6be4 is a shade of cyan-blue. In the RGB color model #2b6be4 is comprised of 16.86% red, 41.96% green and 89.41% blue. In the HSL color space #2b6be4 has a hue of 219° (degrees), 77% saturation and 53% lightness. This color has an approximate wavelength of 471.39 nm.

You can also just go to paintscratch.com to get any paint code you want. I sent it off to G2 (diy caliper paint system) and they sent me a “matching” color to my soon coming rapid red. I need the car to actually use it so this is somewhat hypothetical right now on how good the color match will be. I’ve known many people who use G2 and had no issues.

Carbonized grey, I love the carbonized but I would have been ecstatic with an infinite blue

On my original Mach E I had a paint shop paint the arches and calipers. Don’t think they powder coated, just painted as it wasn’t too expensive and they didn’t take the brakes off. Held up well while I had it, not sure about the second owner!

Finished mine off today. I was a little rushed with the decals and could have gone bigger in the set I purchased and centered better (just being picky/hard on myself). Overall, happy with the outcome. G2 custom color (same paint code as the car). A little off but pretty good match in the sun.

How many kits of G2 paint are you all using? Their site is somewhat vague on if we would need two with the larger front brake calipers.

I bought two because of that vagueness but only needed one. 3 coats on the front and two on the rear and it covered well. So…if anyone wants a custom Rapid Red I have an extra kit for sale
