Just tested, camera button after parking button works on mine. I have parking sensors though.
I tested as well. I can access my camera from the park screen. I have the Active Park Assist Prep Kit on my '22 Select AWD.

Here's the kicker, it works when in park. NOT when in Drive

So more testing, it gets intermittent in Park. And then I can sometimes make it work after pressing park button in Drive once. It's definitely just a bug, but is strange

Really don't want to add noise to this thread, but what exactly does the "advanced" portion of the park assist do, as opposed to the... "regular" one? I had been under the impression that those with the prep kits just didn't have that button doing anything at all.

It will parallel park the car for you.

And for those with just the prep kit? It just.... finds a suitable spot and then you're on your own?
It brings up the parking screen in the car which I think just shows you available parking lots on a map, or something? I don’t really know honestly it all seemed kind of useless.

Repeatable every time:

1. Press the park button
2. Try to select camera on the display
3. Touch is registered but nothing happens, display stays on the Find Parking screen

Does anyone else have this issue? Is this normal? The camera access functionality remains broken, closing and re-opening the vehicle controls drawer does not fix it. Only if I put it in to reverse and turn the camera on that way will it get unlocked again.

Very strange.
My new '22 (9/14 build date) has this issue. With my '21, I used the Park Assist physical button as a more convenient way to get to the camera menu. I'm having to retrain myself to only use the touch screen.

Thank you to everyone who tested this out and reported back. It seems like anyone with Park Assist Prep kit is affected by this, some sort of software bug. It is not just my car and no need to have a dealer look at it. Thanks!
Edit: Seems like maybe not everyone with Park Assist Prep Kit are affected, but in any case is not limited to just my car.

Well, hopefully there’s some way Ford can know about this. I have no idea how to send them bug reports.

I have the same issue. The camera button becomes unresponsive, especially while in drive (stopped). Very annoying. Hopefully the new OTA which moves the camera button to the top also fixes this bug ?.

Hello, Paul! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this concern. Thanks!
