I live in Surprise, Arizona and have to travel to Tempe for work which is 50-miles 1 way. It would be awesome if I could just sleep in my (future) Mach E. Would rather do that then move to Tempe. Has anyone camped in their Mustang Mach E? I've searched this forum and Google but have only found vague references or posts were about in the winter time (no heat pump). Thank you :D

I don't see why not, but I'm not gonna test this!

There's a guy at work who seems to be living in a full length school bus, painted white like a prison bus, and converted into a mobile home complete with all the windows blocked out with foil.

So I guess what I'm saying is, you may need some foil for the windows. o_O

The trick might be to find someplace to plug-in for the night to keep the A/C going without draining the battery. I'd think that even a 120V outlet would be a positive gain overnight.

Don't forget to replace the front seat with toilet.

nobody mentioned this but the car will automatically turn off after 30 minutes unless you tell it not to in the settings. I'm not finding the reference in the manual right now.

just keep that in mind.

And here I felt bad about sitting in the Tim's parking lot in summer heat with the ac full blast drinking a hot latte.

console - settings-vehicle-vehicle power down time = OFF might work
or, you might have to leave MME on, in Drive rather than Park, and use auto-stop=on to act as unofficial parking brake.

you'll also want a little bit of a 'fill in' for the gap between rear cargo and back of seats unless you are pretty short, or ok with your feet hanging out in space. ;)

A/C power consumption will be 'negligible' compared to driving, and has access to the full battery, so you you make it thru the night without charging no problem... and hopefully have access to power during the day at work?

Do you know if its ok to have the car running, with a/c, while plugged in? Every time I have done this I have received an error message on the dash, that says do not turn car on while plugged in. Or unplug vehicle before starting. Something like that. I'm curious about possibly camping at an RV site with the car plugged in. Thank you!

Yeah that is just a message so you don't try to back away from the charger with the car still plugged in (like driving away from the gas pump with the nozzle still in the filler). (I doubt you could shift out of park anyway.)

It doesn't mean you can't do it, just a warning. You can leave the car on and plugged in for as long as you like.

I can confirm that plugging it in at campgrounds works quite well:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Can you keep A/C on all night to sleep in Mach E? 1625055739746

(Granted we didn't sleep in it, however, but we did charge it.)

If you want to charge it at an appreciable rate you'll have to get a 50-amp site (which the mobile charger can plug into with the 14-50 plug and get 10kW or so).

If you just want to use the A/C and don't care about charging then a normal 120V plug will do.

What about scheduling several "Pre-Conditioning" timers through the night?

You can only program two per day and it will be on for a max of 15 minutes each time.

Just a note, while the vehicle A/C is certainly meant to be used I imagine the duty cycle of running it "all night" constantly might catch up sooner or later and parts could break. Likely nothing you have to worry about soon and might even not occur until after warranty is up. But they didn't likely design it for an extended constant use.
