Cannot open trunk

Interesting, I called Ford to set up appointment so they could fix trunk issue.

they said they would pick up the car Wednesday, nice and Ford has a pilot program to update all modules. When he said pilot program and update I figured they were trying to sell me something.

nope , update all modules for free. happy with that.

if they can fix I will save old bad part for @Jimrpa so he can finally open his frunk. Always thinking of you.

LOL! Thanks ? The good news is that I’ve been able to open my frunk via center screen and door keypad for a little over a month now. I just need @Ford Motor Company to enable the remote frunk release in FordPass ?
I am VERY interested to hear how the pilot program to update all your modules for free goes!

Out of the blue my trunk has now opened.

I undid valet parking as I was leaving parking lot.

tested it when I got home and trunk opened.

have no idea why but for some reason maybe valet locked. Still bringing in car for a couple of Customer Service things.

Yes valet mode disabled the trunk. Why would a valet need access to your trunk?

agreed but when I tried to open trunk all different ways it was not under “valet mode” trunk should not have been disabled. Somehow car thought it was.

Yes, the list was so long their program got hung up but they said that no modules needed updates

Interesting, maybe that means they will start offering a complete software update service to get vehicles fully "caught up" rather than always being tied to a TSB or specific customer concern (which is outdated thinking).

Older thread, but I've started randomly having my trunk act up as well. On many occassions now it refuses to open via any means. Most of the time it'll try to open, then beep at me. Usually have to lock/unlock and just keep trying to get it to open.

Pretty annoying, but it's just started doing it recently, so I wonder if it isn't a software issue.
