Cannot open trunk

I tried opening my trunk today. Thru main screen, doesn’t work, key, doesn’t work, thru Fordpass, doesn’t work


I will reset system again and see if that helps.

any thoughts would be helpful

Seriously, are you able to open it via keypad? Is the vehicle fully unlocked when you try to open the trunk?

Yes I can open the frunk, but I really didn’t want to tell you and ruin your day.

can’t open trunk thru keypad, I punch in my code and then 5/6, frunk opens, punch in my code and then 7/8 and frunk opens

car is fully unlocked and trunk will not open

i will trade you one code for frunk opening to get my trunk to open, LOL

Will try when I can bend again, had emergency hernia surgery a few days ago.

really tired of surgery, big downer , had to miss my golf game

What’s interesting is when I try to open trunk the rear lights flash like it’s going to work just doesn’t,

also tried waving my foot like crazy but that hurt like the dickens because of my surgery,?

The fuse block is in the frunk, not under the dash if that helps.

The lights are not powered by the lift gate fuse.

Not sure fuse in frunk is better as I have to take off vanity cover, and I hate doing that. What a royal pain, and I am grumpy because I am in pain

something to do I guess because I am sure service department won’t be available for a while.

Oooh, I know how that goes. I couldn't bend to get in a car for 2 weeks. Good luck and take it easy. If I was nearby I'd come do it for you because I know how much it sucks when you can't do simple stuff.

Interesting, I called Ford to set up appointment so they could fix trunk issue.

they said they would pick up the car Wednesday, nice and Ford has a pilot program to update all modules. When he said pilot program and update I figured they were trying to sell me something.

nope , update all modules for free. happy with that.

if they can fix I will save old bad part for @Jimrpa so he can finally open his frunk. Always thinking of you.

Make sure to have somebody check your VIN when you get it back so we can see if they really did.

Maybe check before and after. That way you can tell if they did a partial.
