The tow truck should be able to get the car open by using the connections in the front bumper. You can then open the frunk for him to charge up the 12v battery with his equipment, possibly getting enough charge to drive.

Quick question.
Is the positive jump point supposed to be loose? To be clear, not on the battery, the one everyone has cut out for a jump.

You could still get to it back there with some gymnastic moves (climb into the back seat, fold one side forward and then lift the cover).
You haven't met me. No Bart Connor body here. ?

They might need to call for the paramedics AND a tow truck if I tried this.

Make sure they use a dolly on all four wheels, if you can’t get it into neutral at all, that’s the only way to tow it. Don’t let them drag it up the flatbed if you can’t get it into tow mode!

Yes, it's not very "locked in" when closed, and feels flimsy when you go to open it.

It is designed to open things when the battery is dead. If it's not dead, then it doesn't function.

Unfortunately, you now officially have the most bricked brick on the forum. Here’s to better times in the days ahead. ?

Its going to be really interesting to see how they get into the car to perform repairs!

Driving to work this morning going around a corner doing about 55 mph and my car died. No power, no lights, nothing. Steering and braking was almost impossible but I managed to get it to the shoulder. There was zero warning, just died.

Now I’m sitting here waiting for a tow truck knowing I can’t put it in neutral.

I’ve had the car for 4 months and have 8000 miles but have never had a single issue.
Hi there, Jon! This definitely doesn’t sound like the experience we want you to be having. If you'd like to, please send a message to us with your VIN and dealer info. I’d be happy to look into this for you. Thank you!

You were not able to open the doors using the emergency 12V connectors under the bumper?

I used a jump box to open the frunk. Took apart the frunk to get to the jump point and couldn’t get the doors open. The positive connector is really loose.

That positive lug is supposed to be tight. The one under the hood with the red plastic cover. Well, they all are supposed to be tight to be honest. If you wiggled that.....was there a little spark or arc?

Those connectors just pop the frunk, not the doors.
