Removing the “bottom right red 25” fuse, and waiting 10 minutes, solved the problem for me! According to the manual (page 327), this is for the Gateway module, climate control, gear shift, instrument cluster and the steering column control module.

Thanks!!

Probably a dumb question but I don’t want to break the cover. How do I remove the cover in the foot well on the passenger side? I’ve tugged on it and it seems pretty tight all around.
You have to tug on it pretty hard to get it to come off (and go back on!).

@UConnPony @EVEE-G @Gloff @Kamuelaflyer @Snakebitten Ya’ll are the BEST! Saved me a dealer trip, taught me a thing or two AND ended my anxiety over this issue. I pulled the fuse in the middle (that 11/12 one) first and waited the 10 minutes with no luck. Tried with the bottom right red one, waited 10 minutes and BOOM - it showed it connected again on the main display! Then I pulled out my Ford Pass to reconnect right away and that’s working well again too. Thank you all so much!!!

Oh wow. Yeah, the second fuse worked for me. Curious - does this happen a lot for your vehicle? We've had it 9 months and that was just the first incident. I'm hoping it's not something that happens multiple times per year. Although, it is a relatively easy fix so I'd rather this than something else all things considered.

I've seen it , but not a ton, it's usually when a vehicle sits for an extended period. I work at the dealership, so I see it more often than the general public.

This is the first time it's happened to mine in the 1 year of ownership

I’ve had it happen once in almost 4 years. The Mach-e is at the local dealer atm for the 3 recalls (Yes finally) and has been sitting for a while. We’ll see whether that becomes twice when it gets back.

Side note, glad to hear you got progress on getting those recalls taken care of. Ford get involved?

I had the same issue a couple months ago. Searched the forums and pulled, waited 10 min and reset the fuse at the bottom right red 25. The fuse box under the passenger seat. That reset the modem and got signal back.

brilliant! I'll have to keep that in mind if it ever happens to me.

These things happen with no rhyme or reason. Kinda like when your computer starts running slow and you need to reboot it. The same thing can happen with other modules. I disconnect the battery from my truck for 30 minutes once a month to force a hard reset of all the modules. This is really not necessary......just me caving in to my OCD. You'd be surprised how many issues and annoyances get resolved from resetting the APIM and GWM every now and then.

I have an early build 2021. The recalls are the 3 NHTSA recalls: HVBJB, windshield and glass roof sealant. The rear wiper isn’t an issue on the 21s other than, like all mme, the stock blade is too small.

Tried to search and didn’t find much on this - apologies if I missed it. My MME lost connectivity last night while charging. Ford Pass not updating was the first give away. Today, after troubleshooting the app and deleting my car from Ford Pass, I saw the data icons missing on the main screen. And nothing comes up under connected vehicle features in settings. Anybody else see this? Known issue? Is there a fix?

Many others may have said this already but I heard from Ford that you actually need to delete the FordPass app. Especially if you've updated to any new Ford pass app software the latest one caused the FordPass app not to update properly and you have to remove it physically from your iPhone and completely reinstall it and re-set up your phone has a key that solve the problem. The short story is uninstall the FordPass app on your iPhone, reinstall it delete your phone settings on the car and reset them up that should fix it according to Ford.
