I have a 23 premium ER RWD and a 22 select SR AWD MME. Neither has ever done what you have described. The only issue I have had with charging at home was my 22 select suddenly started charging to 100% even though I had it set to 85% in the car and FP app. I realized that the location shown for our home in FP app via GPS was on the other side of our neighborhood. Deleted everything from car and phone and then set everything up again. I verified location of car on sync screen and FP app was the same. I haven't had any issues since. Lee has best suggestion to get it to a dealer and let them look at it. Good luck.

I'd love an update on the progress when you have one. Good luck!

First off, I looked on this forum for quite some time to find a similar issue.
To preface this, I'll mention for nearly 2.5 years I used the exact same phone, evse (Juicebox 40) for my 21 mache premium.

A few days ago my ordered 2023 GTPE arrived. I set up charging using fordpass, set up "saved location" for home with charging period nightly 7p-6am to 90%. Twice now I've charged the car. It hits the 90% threshhold and doesn't add more charge after that, the concerning thing is I can still hear the cooling pump hum and also the blue lights next to the plug are behaving as if charging, ie the last blue light is flashing, ie the last 25% charge.

I do seem to get some connectivity problems with the car and phone.
So I'm going to delete the saved location, but this time when I set charging up I will do it in the car on the sync 4 screen. Not sure what else I can try.
Is yours a 2023.5 MY?

I'm seeing this same behavior.

dealership has had three different guys look at it, they've identified that it's doing it but so far no fix. I'm taking it home after friday and I've opened a case with BEV team. So I wonder if it's a bad batch of modules? So far at least three or four other people have said this was an issue.

Update for mine, it worked as I believe it is supposed to. Third time I have charged at home in the six weeks I have owned it but first time it followed programming. I have my charging parameters set as 9PM to 6AM (so it doesn’t compete with my HVACs, clothes dryers or stove) and 90%. Plugged in at 8:30pm, charging started at 9 and continued until 3:44AM at 90%. At 6AM I went out to check on it/disconnect it. I could hear the buzzing sound I associate with charging but Ford supplied EVSE and associated wiring not warm to the touch like previously, no cooling fan noise and no additional charging sessions as before. Car shows 91% and 293 miles estimate.
I have a 23 premium extended battery I‘ve owned for a month. Using the supplied evse, mine stops at 90 as directed, then, at some point (hour or two later), it starts another session and continues very slowly charging until I disconnect it. Recorded as two separate charging sessions. I thought since the first charge started on a day, then crossed midnight, the car sees itself as being connected on a second day and begins charging?

that's not the way it's supposed to charge UNLESS they changed from the 21 I had. If you set up in fordpass, you select charging location, charge percentage and stop start times. Note the stop time is not necessarily when charging ends. Typically my car would fully charge to 90% within two -three hours of start time, when it reaches the threshold, the in car charge components are supposed to shut down (so no buzzing sound) and blue light out by the charging port.

I told the dealer I was taking it home tomorrow, I've established a case # with BEV team I think the solution for this problem willl have to come from them. I could leave it at the dealer and likely as not my 30 day window for lemon law would be reached with no fix.

I have a contact at Ford and a case open on this issue. So we'll see how this goes, its a bug in software or a hardware issue, but not sure which it is yet.

CAS45431676 is my case if anyone wants to reference that when calling the BEV team.

I’ve also been in contact with somebody in the Ford engineering team, but I don’t have a case yet. I’ll update anything. I know when I get it.

Reference my ticket, so we can start to get these into a single point of contact, so its not ignored, As someone that runs a support infrastructure and has a software engineering background, this will help us in the short term bring attention to the issue faster.

Just spoke with the BEV team, they said the problem has been identified. And they're going to have me go thru fordpass to make sure I set everything up correctly (I know I already did as I had my preimum for 2.5 years) and then they'll add me to the list of affected vins.

The reply I received.

“Good afternoon Frank, thanks for providing further details to support the investigation.

The team has evaluated the described condition on your 23.5MY MME. The understanding is that it is natural characteristic of the new onboard charger and is nothing to be concerned with, on the MME 23.5MY.. if you need further clarification, please let us know.

I assume the other shared is also a 23.5MY facing the same conditions.”

??‍♂ still seems odd to me
