Charging Rate for 2023

Just got my Window Sticker and my Premium AWD EXT Battery shows "UP TO 115KW DC CHRG CAPABL" which is much less than the (short) 150KW rate that we have seen in the past.

Is this maybe conservative messaging and does not represent an actual reduction in peak charging rate, or is it an actual change to be even more cautious with the battery?

I guess that's either a mistake or it's been changed for 2023. Let's hope it's the former.

Seems like it could simply be a mistake that indicates the max charging rate for the smaller battery.

Where did you get the window sticker? I have a Delivery date of 11/27 - 12/2 and haven't been given anything like that.

Agreed. It would have been nice to mention the upgraded charging rate along with the extended battery option.

The up to 115KW charger is listed under the standard equipment on window sticker. If I am not mistaking, the Extended Range battery package includes upgrading the charger to an up to 150 kw charger but just doesn't specifically call it out. I don't recall seeing where Ford changed it.

Just finished looking at tech specs for 2023 models. Clearly states up to 150 kw DC fast charging capability on extended range battery. Here is a link to the web page:

I just looked at a random window sticker from a 2022, and it looks like they didn't specifically call out a charging rate.
