Like others I have had an issue where connectivity is missing on my car. When you click settings, connectivity, nothing shows up.

The icon at the top of the screen (two arrows and a triangle) is missing and the easiest way to see if you have an issue:

Here is what it looks like when the menu is missing:

TEMPORARY FIX- Use remote start or remote unlock. Maybe half the time this works and your menu shows up. But it goes away next time you get in the car.
Idea came from this thread-

Possible PERMANENT FIX-
Do the above, but when in the menu settings, turn off “share vehicle data,” then turn it back on.

I did this and the last four times the menu and icon have been there! Hopefully this helps!

UPDATE- see post 8. While it was the first time I’ve had connectivity more than once in a row, it wasn’t permanent and went away again.

I thought this was fixed in OTA 6.2 (6.2.1 for 2021 cars).

Mine has been randomly turning on and off for a while, since 6.1.0. 6.2.1 is finally downloading, so I will see if that fixes it.

In reality the connectivity is working, even without that icon. I get real time traffic and weather data even with it off, so it is just a display bug.

Or you got the OTA that fixes the problem.

Nope, I wish.

Haven’t gotten an OTA since August 7. I’m a 2021 job 2 in EA as well. The connectivity screen was also still missing this morning until I did the above things.

I’ve tried all the forum suggestions to get an OTA and still haven’t.

Here is my last update and what it STILL shows on the updates screen:

It seems to be, that icon indicating it is active does take a little bit to show up sometimes though after the update.

This may be a bit unique to me (and some others).

I haven’t even gotten 5.1, and definitely no 6 updates.

This is the history of my updates- were VERY consistent until they stopped.

UPDATE- Spoke too soon.

Connectivity disappeared again.

For the 4x it was there (after turning off share data), I wasn’t automatically connecting to CarPlay. So I connected to CarPlay and the next two times in the car? No connectivity again……..

Will try some more trial and error to see if it’s just a coincidence or CarPlay somehow messes things up.

It will start and stop working throughout the day. There’s no rhyme or reason.

Unfortunately mine never works…….. unless I do the remote start or remote unlock and then it works sometimes.

I’m messing with it just based on a theory it’s related to my lack of updates since August.

Did you do the 12V battery terminal disconnect yet?

No, I did trickle charge a few times, but no disconnect.

Is this just a simple disconnect the negative terminal for a few min?

Yes, 10 min. Grab your 10 mm socket and a thick glove or rag to shove under it while you wait.

Is this a potential fix for lack of updates or connected services or both?

Both, because it forces a cloud data refresh on the next ignition cycle. Hopefully that means you can get the connected services menu to open and verify you have connected services and vehicle data sharing turned on so you're able to receive OTAs. Can't promise anything but worth a shot.
