You may experience an audible chime, a wrench light, and a message on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) specifying there is a "Parking brake failure, service immediately". Additionally, you may be unable to disengage the park brake resulting in brake drag while driving accompanied by a constant reminder
and chime. The vehicle design will allow your vehicle to remain stationary on a grade even with a non-functioning EPB.

Ford has authorized your dealer to install a new electronic parking brake connector free of charge (parts and labour) under the terms of this program.
This Customer Satisfaction Program will be in effect until June 20, 2033 or 240,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first. Coverage is automatic ally transferred to subsequent owners.

What was the time frame to have this done?

Canada's was mailed to me where the one down south indicates it won't. I think this costumer satisfaction program of the the brakes not locking up will be a requirement for me. Rear brakes have been stuck on a number of times but reverse and a little juice has broke them off and they have never totally locked or were dragging that I am aware of. The bells and whistle about brakes I have had once.

I have to go back in for a door fault service required message which requires a door actuator replacement so I have requested this be replaced at the same time. Not sure how the door fault appeared after 2 years so can not answer your question as to what is next. Based on the first 2 years and that this will be my 13th time in I am thinking something else is bound to happen. Starting to be a trend.

2033, 240,000 km. So no rush unless you need it.

I’m going to do with another repair job coming up. Text them to get the parts ready and remind them of the front axle.

Took my MME in for the 20000 service and they did this update for me. I had not received any communication from Ford about it.

My bad I thought you had it done not that you got the letter. I was already going in the second time as they only could only do 3 of the 4 things since they needed a part. I added this when it came in the mail (grouping). What about the front axle I have nothing w/r to that?

Glad they are being proactive about it, it must be easier than it looks from the instructions.

Is on another thread somewhere. The car makes a noise when turning sometimes and it could be a suspect half axle

Is this just when you are stopped and you take off with the steering wheel cranked full one way or the other? I have driven 4x4 for over 30 years and this awd is not much different. They do not like the steering wheel cranking full turn when taking off. Backing off the steering wheel a bit makes the grabbing go away. Almost like the differentials are not set up to be turned that far. Some other cars the steering belt starts to squeal when you turn it to its limit and backing off stops that. Most vehicles you should not crank the steering wheel full limit.

Often low speed, doesn’t need to be a full turn.
