Recall and CSP letters these days are pretty common.

You can debate if it’s because vehicle quality has gone down hill, or because stricter regulation requires them to fix things they would have never before.

But in the end of the day, you follow what the letter says and they take care of it.

Curious - of the people receiving the notices, was it also showing up in your account - under recalls/csp’s? I also purchased my 24 1 month ago. Haven’t seen a notice and also nothing shows up when I check my vin for recalls and csps. Maybe I just got lucky?? I believe mine was built toward the end of ‘24. Thx!
Had ours done this morning, in at 7:30 out by 8:30. No issues.

I saw this notification via my ford web site so I called my local dealership and they scheduled a remote service appointment. Performed last Friday and I asked about checking for other updates as FDRS said i had another 9 updates available. Mobile tech did them all - great experience for me.
Thank you, @daggerNC. Glad to hear this. I'm taking my late 2024 in tomorrow and wondered how long all the other updates might take (should they choose to do them for no charge). Sounds like less than a day.

I had 10 or 11 updates total. It took almost 3 hours total due to a couple of issues: First, with that many updates you MUST have a battery tender/charger on the 12v battery. His mobile van didn't have one but they just use battery cables and run the engine....I said, hold on, I have a smart tender, so found that and we used that. While popping off the stupid plastic panels in the frunk to get to the battery terminals, one of the clips came off and fell down and we could not locate it :-(

One of the updates reset the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system), and he said they did not provide him with a Ford TPMS training tool. I said, hold on, and I found one in my tool box I used a couple of years ago on my 2010 Escape - and that worked (once he did the correct accept window process)!

What took the longest was an APIM update - it would download and show successfully installed but it wouldn't take/register and then it would throw a code and then show the same update is required in his FDRS system (oh ya, his laptop ran out of battery power, so I ran another extension cord so he could plug in his charger too). He tried multiple re-installs. Then he said he had to do an ACM module reconfigure once before on a different vehicle to get an update to take. So he reconfigured the ACM (which was also updated just before this APIM one) - no go. Then he did a reconfigure on the APIM and tried the download/install one more time, and BAM, that finally worked!!

No dings on this tech - he was very good and very professional and we had great discussions - they just didn't set him up with all the tools he needed. I was glad to help. Anyway, about 2 hours later I get a knock on the door and its the tech and he went to the dealership and got a replacement clip for the frunk panel and replaced it! 5-stars for that!!

Don't know if this will help anyone else out but wanted to pass along a couple of gotchas that happened during my mobile session. Cheers.

I got my 24 Mach-E on 2/26 and have not received a letter or have a notification on the ford web site. maybe it is a specific build range. I am on a wait and see if I get it later based on my purchase date.

Just in case it helps, the only place I see the notice is on the "Service" tab in Ford Pass app. Under "Service Schedule" there is a reddish dot next to "Customer Satisfaction Programs", and on expanding I can see the notice details. I don't see a message in the "Messages" section. Actually learned about it here first when FoMoCo posted it (yay Forum).

Running off the van with jumper cables is probably fine. There’s enough amperage there.

TPMS will auto learn itself when you start driving. I always skip TPMS training when it prompts you and it’s been fine. The TPMS tool isn’t needed anymore.

Doing updates on battery is risky with the laptop. I would never do such a thing unless I knew it was a real short update. They must’ve been doing more than just this CSP because the APIM update wouldn’t have been included. If you’re just getting the CSP done, it should take less than an hour.

Received letter to make appointment w Dealer for 12V battery. FMC has authorized my dealer to re-program the onboard charger module free of charge.
Has anyone else received this letter? Is this a recall? I just leased brand new 11/24 and I have less than 1000 miles. I really would not know if I was having an issue or not.
All new to me and a little overwhelming.
I had the service done at my dealer. Took about an hour and a half, less time than mentioned in the letter. Nothing to stress about.

That is nice to know. However, on my 2010 Escape, when I replaced any of my TPMS sensors you had to re-train in order for the module to register that this new TPMS device is assigned to this specific wheel. Of course it would register nil for the tire pressure values until you start moving and there is tire rotation. On my Mach-E when the tech upgraded that module, the Tire Pressure screen showed no tires and threw up the you must retrain message. After he went thru the training process then all four tire positions displayed with nil values... Maybe the Ford tech isn't aware it works differently now - I don't know. Still glad I had the tool.

Ford mobile tech came out and updated 25B03 and something else on our ‘24. Still never received an OTA update for this car. Only thing I notice different is that Bluecruise now sucks. Constantly wants you to grab the wheel and pay attention even though I am. Terrible BC experience compared to before 25B03.

I tried to schedule this CSP with mobile service from my selling dealer. Waited 6 days to hear back, and the final result was this. No on the mobile service "because it is an 8.5 hour job and they would need to order parts." I can't even schedule it to bring in and wait on it.

So I guess if the car dies in my garage, Ford can come get it. It's a leased car.

Odd, completely different experience than I had. Tech came out to house. Put a charger on the 12v battery then connected his laptop. Only took about 1.5 hours.

A different dealers advisor wants me to drop off the car for 3 days so they "can diagnose the problem".
