I checked the door hems on my 2022 Mach E. I found the defect on the front passenger door ?.

I’m still debating if I should take it to the dealership to get it fixed. The Ford dealership where I picked up my car has some bad reviews with their service department.

Some Mach-E's built before June 10, 2023 may have paint sealant issues around the door hems (edges) of the side entry doors. The paint may begin to bubble or corrode, creating an appearance issue. Dealers will inspect and repair as necessary. The repair involves brushing all the paint off the bottom of the door and repainting (body shop work).

I had a Fusion with a Cust Sat program where they sent pictures like these. Never received those for this one.

Just took a look after receiving the notice a couple of weeks back by mail ( 21', late job 1, built in March 2021). I have at least 2 doors failing the test, potentially 3. Rust is well installed on one of seams of the right rear door.

What I wonder is the following: let's say they agree to fix 2 or 3 of the doors (pretty sure both rear doors qualify, possible one front door), what happens if one of the remaining doors they wouldn't fix now exhibit the problem later? It's a one-time thing per door? Anyone knows?

According to the CSP, if you have the issues, they do all of the doors at one time, even ones not showing signs. Then you’re done. If it comes back, they won’t cover it.

Actually, that's not what i read in the CSP. They inspect and clean all of them, and repair as needed. When reading all of the attached docs, I'd assume that's why they have separate dealer payouts depending on the number of doors they do when you bring it in.

I'll just ask my dealer and see what they say. If it's a one-time deal, i'll just wait until all 4 are showing it and failing the test, i'm getting close anyway i think.

If i hadn't done a rust proof treatment before, i suppose i'd already be there. It must have slowed down the process a bit.

My Mach E was made at the plant listed in the satisfaction program between the dates listed and shows the corrosion issue on the door - but apparently the CSP isn’t listed for my VIN in the Oasis system. Dealership will not do anything because the CSP wasn’t on my VIN and Ford customer service wouldn’t do anything and told me to visit the dealer @Ford Motor Company and other ideas?
