Hi all! First post here, and hoping someone can shed some light for me. I got the window sticker for my premium on 7/1, and the status was updated to "In Production" on 7/5. Since then, no updates (except the meaningless auto-update email from Ford on 7/13). From what I've read, this is a long time for it to still be "In Production," especially given the improvements in the supply chain situation. I've checked As-built, which is showing 1600ish BCE modules active. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should be expecting in terms of "Built" timing at this point? Thanks for any insight!

I ordered mine Feb. 15 2023, it entered production Apr. 10 and was finished on Apr. 15. The hard part was the wait after it was built. It was originally slated to be delivered the week of Jun. 12, but in reality, it didn't make it to the dealer until Jul. 18. They pushed back the expected delivery date 4 times. The issue, I believe, was a lack of CDL drivers to move the cars, even after it had been shipped.

I know that they've ramped up production, and wait times are down from when I ordered mine. I actually see new MMEs on the dealer lots around here now, as opposed to having to wait for it. I don't know, however, if the shipping logistics have gotten any smoother in the last month, though...

Worth the wait either way, I guess!

I would just like it to get to "built" stage at all - sounds like yours took 5 days. I am at almost 30. Super frustrating.

Same boat. Ordered 05/03, entered “in production” on 07/04, nothing but the auto-ford email since. Also checked that module site and it had a ton listed.

I did chat with Ford directly on Ford.com and they said my schedule completed date was 07/25, but that sometimes the tracker doesn’t update for a while.

In a nutshell it’s a mess. Ford is not a B2C company.

Ford’s website will show the car as in “In Production” until it actually ships. At that time its status will change to “In Transit” iirc. Your dealers should be able to pull up a bit more detailed info in the dealer visibility report.

As for actual production days, I no longer know. My own car was scheduled for the 1/24/21 build week but didn’t actually get built until 2/10/21. Back then they slowed the assembly line down when there were parts issues (which was all the time). They do things differently now.

Even if built, they may end up holding it up for parts / chip / module shortages.

Mine was built in December 2022 and showed "in transit" for 4 months, sitting in a Mexican warehouse 4 miles from the factory waiting for chips.

Finally shipped in April 2023, where it derailed and got destroyed in transit.

Ford did expedite a replacement with new VIN, hot shot transported to the dealer in 2 weeks and kept my PCO offer intact. They even upped the PCO to $4500 instead of $2500 which sort of helped take the sting out.

14 months later, here she is;

I have seen a "Built" status before & recently, just not for mine - I presume this is still a thing? Probably doesn't matter, though. It'll get here when it gets here, I guess.

I have been thinking about trying this...what option did you select in the chat client for "nature of your inquiry"? Neither of the two options pertain to "where the f is my car??" :D

Yeah, my '23 showed "Built" on the website 5 days after it started production. I am guessing supply chain issues are what is holding you back, but it would be nice to have more communication from them when things are taking longer than expected...

Also, does anyone know how many BCE modules there are in a fully built Mach E Premium eAWD? I have tried to find this answer everywhere to no avail. ?

I've been follow build threads since April. There is no solid pattern to anything. One person was in the same build week as me and it was only 3 weeks between the build start and they bought it at their dealer. That's not the experience I saw for my exact same configuration (see my signature).

As of today, Ford site still says the delivery date will be 8/7, but the Ford pass app GPS shows it's still sitting on a rail car next to the manufacturing plant in Mexico.

Don't expect Ford's ETA to be worth anything.

Mine took 4 months sitting in Mexico after build before it shipped.

14 months from from order to delivery.

Well worth the wait - especially at the lower APR rates and PCO.

Just found previous posts on this topic under titles: Build Week and Build Gang, in case you want to search. Short version of my experience:
  • Ford status emails were always 3 days+ later than status posted on my account page. That is, I always knew status change prior to Ford emailing me.
  • I ordered 12-23-2021. Received 11-2-2022. One build delay notification - from 28 weeks to 34 weeks. I was patient.
  • The car was shipped by train through KC, MO to Elkhart, IN, passing through Illinois where I lived but it was not offloaded in Illinois.
  • Must have been shipped by truck from Elkhart, IN to my dealer in Illinois because it arrived at the dealer 3 days later.
Bottom line: Do not expect precise information from Ford. Be patient and don't freak out like I did. Dealers do not always receive precise information from Ford, so also be patient with your dealer. I think you'll really like your MME when you receive it.

Bumping this question. My number of modules - 1664 - has not changed in at least 5 days. Has anyone looked this up previously for their built Premium? Thanks!!
