I'm almost done with Ford because the local dealership service, Woody Anderson, continues to be the most incompetent. Last year I called in to get my warranty work done, which resulted in an appointment a 6 weeks out for availability. That is fine to me but after waiting 6 weeks and being spam texted confirming my appointment you would think they would actually be ready. Nope, after being shuttled home I immediately got a call saying they didn't have parts and it would be a week to get them but I could come back and get my MME.

It doesn't end, I got back, waited 20 min for them to get my MME then had a conversation with the service manager. He said he was new and apologized and promised to coordinate my appointment by Monday. Guess what that was never done till last night. I got a call saying they could get me in April! BTW I left messages with service manager in Nov and Dec, no call back, shocking. I'm now scheduled at a dealership 45 min away that claims on Monday they will take care of the recall and have a rental car ready.

I'm trying to be positive but if this goes bad, even though I really love the MME I'm probably selling this year and heading back to RAM for a new truck to give me another 120k trouble free miles and better service.

So have you left negative reviews for the dealership on social media? Did you reach out to the GM?

I deal with the GM, the Service Manager, and the Body Shop Manager, and rarely have an issue. When I do, they move quickly to make amends.

My wife and are each holding back on the glass recalls assuming the worst. Maybe in another 5 months or so their glass shop will have done at least one other MME.

They're not getting mine to practice on.

Some dealers are just bad. I have found multiple bad ones and avoid them. Once you find a good one just stick with it! Good luck. Call Ford corporate and log a complaint too.

I called our dealer about this a couple weeks back and nothing but crickets since then. I don’t want ours to be the first one either!

I was at the dealer back in the Fall, and asked the body shop manager about the process. He said they were still reviewing it, but they had 3 glass companies they used, and had already eliminated 1 of them because he knows Mach-E owners are fussy, and they want the work done right. He also said they would have all parts in inventory before people came in, and try to have replacement windshields within one day availability. They were estimating 3-5 days at that point.

I just scheduled for a month from now, they've now done quite a few. They're doing them in a separate building so that they have room to work indoors, and not in the body shop with all the dust. He said it's a day to get it ready for the glass tech (i.e. removing headliner, protecting surfaces), then a day for the glass work, then a day to put it back together, and a day to clean it and make sure it's perfect. Might be as few as 3 days, plan on 5, with the Ford-paid for rental car. Obviously it's not all "a day", but the glass guy finishes and things have to cure, and headliner is put back in and the cleanup guys are sitting there waiting. He also said they haven't damaged any headliners.

I feel quite confident in their ability to do this right, especially when the body shop manager knows I work with the GM. It's sad when others don't get this kind of dealership, but it's not a Ford thing, it's a dealership thing.

Drama continues, the dealership said they can't do recall because of no on-site body shop. They did some research and calls and found they can contract out to local shop they use. At this point I'm not sure what will happen, I'm not even sure keeping it makes sense. I'll have them do the work because I've wasted too much time. If it bad, I'll report it and probably sell.

same here, my dealership has only sold three mach es, one of them a select., so I have little interest in taking mine to the dealer to get the windshield/roof recall done.

I got the same response from our local Ford dealer. I will continue to wait and try to find a dealer that has done this at least a few times!

Ford as opposed to BMW, MB, Audi etc.
I wouldn’t set the bar that high in the service aspect of the experience.
