When a car is delivered to Kansas, are they being trucked to the dealership if they're 6 hours away?

Congrats, but as a native Texan I gotta say you guys are bumming me out. Maybe I'll get a move up before the end of the month since my original date was this week for NorCal.

hmmm, just checked and the activate vehicle button is now available in the app.

Mine was just moved from End of March to End of February. My original delivery date was This week (Jan19-25) but got pushed to march. Now its end of February. So a bit happy about that. My Ford app now has a button to activate car, but nothing happens.

Palsapp says my car was delivered to KS on the 12th to speedway. Right now says and its being loaded to MUNCIE RAMP and "Pending" So i am thinking I may get mine before end of Feb.

Just got an updated ETA window of 1/27 to 2/2. After the stop-ship order the ETA was showing as mid-March. Palsapp.com is showing an Origin of Kansas City and a Destination of my dealership.

Are they trucking them the whole way? According to the dealer, cars are generally shipped via rail and then trucked across town.

My original ETA was 1/14 to 1/20. Built 12/24 and shipped 12/31.

We must be on the same transport. My MME is due the same week here in southern oregon. My dealer told me cars are normally railed to Portland area and then trucked to dealer. I found my VIN on pals app this morning.

my primary status is changed from "In production" to "awaiting shipment"... any idea what does it mean? Is it sitting in Mexico to get shipped?

Also, ETA end date is now 28th Feb 2021, what does it mean?

I'm wondering the same thing. I have a Feb 3-10 delivery window. It's only a 6 hour truck from Kansas to Hudson. I know there will be mine, yours, and their demo coming in. Maybe we'll get our own car carrier...

Hmm.. I'm around the corner in Walnut Creek my delivery went from this week to 2/26 a week plus ago and now switched to 02/10-02/16. Hope they aren't teasing me with another date. Would think ours might be together. My built date was 12/31

Just going to take a wild guess, but it seems like many cars that got redirected to the KC Speedway are being trucked out, while the cars that weren't rerouted are following the original scheduling of train delivery to a regional distribution center. Completely speculating here, but I would imagine the reason is that it is a LOT harder to adjust train schedules vs trucks.

they may be trucking to alleviate the backlog?

Awaiting shipment = waiting to get loaded on to the train at the plant
ETA = estimated delivery date at dealer

Possibly , my order was scheduled for production 12/11, built 1/4 and originally was supposed to be delivered 1/28. Now 3/25. I am hoping the date would switch in the next couple days top something sooner but at this point what is another 2 months.

Fellow Forum Members: It's unfortunate that it had to be this way, but I have made the decision to CANCEL my Mach-E order. It was a combination of things really, but the final straw was this latest delay, coupled with the complete lack of professionalism and communication from my dealer. I know it doesn't matter to him. The dealership will still get the car, and be able to sell it higher than MSRP. To be honest, I wish there was a way I could cancel with Ford and not the dealer. That way, they wouldn't be able to sell it.

The day after the delay email, I test drove the Model Y. My wife and I really liked it. Were there things we liked about the Mach-E that we wish were in the Tesla? Yes. Ultimately, there were enough features that really sold us. We went for the Long Range Dual Motor. In the end, we're happy with our decision, and excited for our first electric vehicle. It will be delivered in 1 week.
I really enjoyed interacting with everyone as we learned about this car together. I regret that we couldn't finish the journey together, but I just had enough. I felt like all of this wait, drama, lack of communication, etc. simply wasn't worth it anymore. I actually became DISINTERESTED in the car.
