I just got back from the dealer to get my additional key fob. While there, I asked them to please push through any updates I have not received.

I bought my car in Sept of 2021 -- just background info.

I told the service guy that I still don't have Blue Cruise. He said he looked it up, and I actually do have it....he said they checked and I am "up to date" on everything. Under software updates, my car just says I have the latest (no version, which makes me crazy).

So -- after I left the dealer, I got on Interstate 75 in Dallas, went to cruise control, turned on lane keeping, etc. Saw the bubble on the dash, but still got the same "keep hands on wheel" that I've gotten since I bought the car.

I feel like an idiot to ask this question, but here goes:

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE BLUE CRUISE? I'm so confused and frustrated with the dealer because they were no help other than to tell me I'm wrong and that I actually do have it.

Anyone?

Did it turn blue and say you have BlueCruise (and still say to put your hands on the wheel)?

No, it did not....it showed a blue outline "bubble", but it has done that since day one. Nothing about Blue Cruise and kept telling me to get hands on wheel.

Log into Ford.com and click on Connected Services. Find BlueCruise and see when your trial expiration date is.

And in the car, check the date of your BlueCruise maps.

On Ford.com, under Connected Services, it says COMING SOON on the Blue Cruise portion.

I'm assuming this means I indeed do not have it. This is so frustrating.

It might be that you were trying to use I75 while in Texas? ?

All joking aside, I feel your pain. I have a Job 2 '21 that had Blue Cruise working perfectly until the dealer did an update for me based on a TSB. Mine shows all activated but I still get the BC unavailable error. I'm struggling to see how they can bugger up a single feature in so many different ways.

Correct. You do not.

And the free update to give you BlueCruise ended two weeks ago.

Perhaps @Ford Motor Company can help?

Okay....to be correct.....Interstate 45, which becomes HWY 75 through Dallas....

Sounds like no. Perhaps you could find someone on the forum in the DFW area that does FDRS updates? It will take all day, so bring lots of beer.

Maybe that was why when I took our car in last week for the HVJB update and to get reimbursed for the extra key fob I paid for last year, they said those were the only outstanding items (except for the windshield and pano roof recalls we have not done yet). I told them to do all of the outstanding updates including Blue Cruise as it hasn't been updated OTA yet and he said "we can only do what is showing up" and they didn't see the Blue Cruise one. Will it still come via OTA eventually? March 2021 Job 1.

My hands free blue cruise stopped working today. Bought in 2022, online it says valid until 2025. On sync it says hands free blue cruise valid until 10-12-2022… wtf! And I have a trip planned this weekend.

You don't have blue cruise. You probably booked service appointment in September (or earlier), and went for your appointment in October. As per https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/optional-product-improvement-program-21g01-expiration.18862/ 21G01 expired on September 30th and dealers stopped seeing it as pending recall on their end.

Exact same thing happened to me last week.
