The best cup of coffee I ever had was a Maui Mokha at the Monkey Pod restaurant in Kehei. I purchased some from a local shop to take home but now the prices are too outrageous. I have been roasting my own coffee for the past several years and I believe that Ethiopian Yirga Cheffe is the best tasting coffee period and it is considerably cheaper! Yemen Mokha’s can also be roasted to have quite interesting flavors. It is quite interesting how much coffee flavor can vary by roasting and also by where it is grown. Hawaiian coffees are just a little to overpriced from my perspective but out local coffee shop once had a special sale on some limited South American coffee at over $70 a pound (I passed!) Just my 2 cents and as a matter of fact I will be roasting some coffee today after dropping my grandkids off at school.

I was just down there yesterday picking done up since I was in the area. They are a premium coffee but are imo a cut above the rest.

Just got back from a vacation to Costa Rico and loved the coffee we had there.

Wife was having an issue with heartburn with the brand we used at home but the Costa Rican coffee did not do that. So we ordered some when we got home.

After a week on the new better coffee, she is still heartburn free. So, I guess our coffee bill has gone up

I get greens for about $20 a lb usually. helps to have a couple grand in roasting stuff 'laying around the house'.
