curious I've had run flats on other cars, never experienced a flat. So when you get a flat does the tpms warn you the tire pressure is low, ie 0 or something like that?
Yes, as soon as the tire pressure drops below around 32 psi, you will get a warning no matter what type of tire you are running.

While quieter ride and better handling might be nice, I'm at 41,000 and going strong on my OEM Michelin Primacy. The CrossClimate 2 are a way better tire in the Tirerack ratings, but will I get 41,000+ on these? Only getting 20,000 miles on a set of tires is totally unacceptable for this driver.

I put the CrossClimate 2's on a Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid. Noise and traction were excellent but I took a 10%+ hit on range. This was acceptable to me for a hybrid but not an EV.

Some people have switched to the Hankook Evo Ion AS SUV tires and said they have better grip and same range compared to OEM Michelins.
I did the switch, and no, they have worse grip than the OEM tires I had on my GT (not GTPE).

The ride is much smoother, and much quieter, but they definitely have less grip. And consequently, they should be more efficient. I am not able to say how much better they are, but after a few months of driving, I will have enough data and I will let everyone know how much better they are, efficiency wise.

I use the CC2 for my winter tires and it’s an instant 8%-10% range swing vs the OEM Continentals

Yes, mine did. I got home, repaired it and reset the tpms.

because i am sure the colder weather does not matter, it's just because you switched tires that you lost 8-10%...

If you read the tire rack reviews of the CC2 and filter them by Tesla owners, you will see a 10% is not unusual. There are many complaints about range hit.

They are great tires in every way except rolling resistance. Which is how it works. Better "bad weather" performance is directly correlated with worse efficiency.

I’m going to Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons when the time comes.
We just put those on our GT and I am very pleased with them. The OEM tires had 35K on them. My wife says "she can't tell the difference" ?

what part of “instant” is confusing to you?
So, it's "instant". The weather was exactly the same, you drove exactly the same way you always do, and you drove the same destinations, and you can tell an 8% difference. Ok...I wish I could be that precise....

My 2022 Ford Raptor does outweigh our 2021 Mach-E GT by 820 lbs, which isn't that much considering the size difference of the vehicles.
Yes, pretty much every 4x4 F-150 weighs more than the Mach-E. It's the 4x2's that weigh less and that is only the newer aluminum body F-150's otherwise most all weigh more.

I have a friend who lives in the Bay Area and she drives to Groveland (140 miles) every other weekend or so for the past three years in her premium Mach-E. After installing CC2's, she "instantly" lost about 10% in range over her OEM Michelin Primacy A/S tires. She needed all season tires that are very good in the snow and the CC2's are great for that and she does not mind the range hit. She has wired in L2 chargers at both homes.

About the same range hit for my wife's Honda Clarity PHEV running on Run Flats.
But at least the RFT means she does not have to pull over for a flat.
Continue driving on zero air pressure is much better than waiting for roadside assistance...
