After you finish charging with the Ford supplied charging equipment do you unplug from the 240 volt source order you leave it plugged in?

Are you planning on getting a permanent Level 2 Charger? If so I would unplug and only plug in when you use the FMC whenever you "need" to charge the car which should not be everyday. The outlet will be ok until you get a permanent L2. That is when you don't want to keep unplugging when you have a permanent L2.

Search other thread about this. I honestly IMO don't think the FMC is for daily use. Just for travel, plug in, charge, and plug out and go. The unit gets warm when left plugged in and not in use. I think contributes to some of these problems you'll read.

Based on how many people around here have had their ford mobile charger fail, I would want that one unplugged as much as possible.

I'm in the unplug group after charging.
If you're using a $50-$100 Bryant or Hubbell industrial outlet, that's fine. If you're using a cheap $10 outlet, it's not meant to be plugged and unplugged daily/weekly.

I have a level II that has been plugged in consistently for over 10 years. Works fine. I use the
EVSE that came with the MME plugged in to 120V solar panels and batteries. Car is always plugged
in seldom charging at home. I have it set to 60% then charge while out and about. Only drive an
average of 25 miles a day.

Oh, looking at the OP post again, I'm actually in the unplug from car, leave plugged in outlet group.

I did unplug originally since I didn't have anything to support the charger (it was hanging from the plug), but I setup a little support shelf now.

This is our setup...always plugged in (unless we take the EVSE off the wall mount for travel). To be fair, we only need to charge a couple times a month as we both work from home...more if we travel more (of course), but not daily and mostly not even weekly. We've owned the car for about 8 months now and haven't even hit 5k miles, but so far zero issues with our EVSE.
