Yeah, if you’re the first to get updated, you gotta be willing to be a Beta tester and deal with bugs. While I have a teeny, tiny bit of empathy for Job 2 Q4 owners, it's pretty teeny. You have BlueCruise. Job 1 cars got it 9 months late.
But I really am puzzled. Do you not read of the many, many, many issues that dealerships are having doing the updates, largely driven by issues with Ford's software and systems? Cars are being made inoperable (mine was for a period of time). OTA updates are breaking things, like killing BlueCruise (mine right now).
I had my 2022 updated by the dealership before delivery, because there was a hold on it (that they couldn't see) for the BlueCruise map update. They did a few other updates also, then stopped, because they were afraid of what would happen if they kept going. Background - they had a bunch of F-150s in for BlueCruise updates that failed when they did them and were sitting awaiting fixes.
Hoping you get something sooner that has a good chance of causing issues to me isn't the brightest idea, but hey, what do I know?
It’s not always good to be first.
