I don't have a home charger, yet, so I'm using a combination of cheap charging and the stock charger that came with the car.

I set the schedule to not charge between 9:00pm - 4:00pm, which was done based on my rate plan with PGE. Thing is, if I plug it in at 2:00pm it doesn't stop charging at 4:00pm. If I plug it in at 6:00pm, it doesn't start charging at 9:00pm.

What if, anything, am I missing?

Are you plugging into 120V or 240V?

Basically if your schedule isn't long enough to charge to the level you have programmed it will ignore it.

Schedule works 99% of the time for me.

If the car calculates that it cannot make it to your set charge level in the time window, it will override and do what it takes to achieve the set level.

120v will always ignore the schedule.

I L2 charge at home. The schedule always works, so there is hope.

Schedule is location specific, you may want to reset "Home" charging location if doesn't think it is at home when you plug in. The circle it considers home is fairly small.

My charging schedule (48 amp) always works... for my rate plan for EV's (DTE in Michigan) it's 11pm to 9am weekdays or anytime on weekends.

I think the _only_ time I have ever seen it botch the schedule is if it had *just* received a software update that required not driving. My guess is those reset some module and it probably doesn't know it's in my garage because scheduled charging is tied to the location.

As said by others, when you plug in it will check if charging will have time finish in the scheduled window, if not it ignores the window and charges immediately.

I suggest you set your charge window to end at 1PM rather than 4PM so it will wait for the next charge window to begin.

If you are charging on 120V, don’t even bother setting a charge window. It’s so slow it won’t really affect your rates.

Sounds like 120V is a no go.

Thanks!
Consider that on 120V, it will take about 35 hours to charge 50% for a SR car! Having a schedule doesn’t make much sense.
