On my late May 2024 interstate trip through the Midwest I noticed EA stations I usually use near Cincinnati Ohio were getting new charging pedestals... seems to be a (welcome) trend.

I might cruise by there (Gulfport),Monday see how much progress they made unless they did a lot yesterday.

On Thursday afternoon the crew, it seems had gotten the new stations delivered and they were arranging them in their respective positions. Check the app for any updates.

You had to see our faces when we pulled in on Thursday afternoon. The working crew was saying the same thing. No warnings about the stations until yesterday. They could had left (2) running while they were replacing the rest of them. We had to backtrack to D’lberville MS and use the Tesla superchargers. If you don’t have the adaptor…..you are screwed. Funny thing also. I upgraded my membership to Pass+ in order to use those particular stations. The good thing is that they are updating the stations. The new stations can do 90KWH and 350KWH. That is what they(EA) are advertising.
We are returning home on Monday the 24th. I don’t expect miracles from EA.
Back to Tesla stations again.

Update to the charging stations at the outlet malls in Gulfport Mississippi. I just talked to the technicians the fiasco they had just talking to Electrify America to let them know they were taking them off-line was one story I’m not even gonna get into that. It was funny they thought they were trying to charge and they said you idiots were trying to rip these out and install new ones. Don’t you know that lol?So according to the guys out here They should be completed by 17 July. The pictures I’ve included the one that’s standing alone is called the Chademo, Basically, it’s a level 2 Charger 50 kW on a 20 amp,(maybe not exactly level two but not very quick. Still has a credit card charger on it lol) And then there will be five GEN 4s 350 kW. And that’s the update. And I had to get one of me with technicians lol

Well, I gave them till 20 July and I came down here to take a look and charge the car since I was at 20% and the scene has not changed a bit. There is still nothing done yet in this area I 10 GULFPORT Mississippi, so heads up.

They decided to rip the stations all the way to New Orleans also. Hopefully, pessimistically, would have them up and running by October.

OK so I came by the charging stations Electrify America and GULFPORT on I 10 Mississippi and I just talked to the supervisor that was telling me before it was supposed to been done on 18 July and they usually just replace the units and that’s it but for some reason They wanted more concrete in the ground for hurricane standards so right now they’re putting a bunch of concrete down and he said they should have this all wrapped up in about five days so by the end of the month pretty much he said before but definitely could be ready before the end of the month

Thank you for keeping up with that particular site. Until we get an okay from you to use this site again, I am not planning to stop or use this site on my travel plans. Hopefully we be up and running before my next visit to Louisiana this fall.

Like I said that guy he was mad he was the same guy I talked to originally that said it would be done the middle of July but they said they decided they wanted to put more concrete so he said five days

Just a heads up if anybody is on I 10 or coming towards New Orleans or Gulfport Mississippi the charging stations for Electrify America are currently being pulled out of the ground and they’ve got brand new ones in the box so I have no idea when it’s gonna be done. I was kind of giving the guys a hard time. They said you’re not the first one and I said well I live five minutes from here. I’ll charge it. I was just gonna use some of my free hours.
This would be the outlet mall address on I 10 off of creosote Road. The Tesla stations are available in D’Iberville Mississippi about 15 miles from here.
