Thank you so much for this!

By the way - charging right now at the BWI Cell lot using the EVSmart (basically the ShellRecharge network). 150kW initial capability, but charging at about 84 kW rate. Not bad though because it is by kW charging instead of minutes and the rate, .32/kWh is fair for a DCFG
I took a look at the specs at the power boxes and found the BWI lot chargers to be 198a Max and 200-1,000 VDC. At those specs, my car should only be charging at 79 kW rate, but it's now holding court at 87. I'll take it.

Yes Lightning SR.
Still waiting for my MME SR to arrive.
The MME should have similar charge rates ?
I get 160-163kw peak on the new EVGO 350s in my Mach-E with the ER pack.

Do you have the new Delta Ultrafast simultaneous HPC 350kW EVGo chargers ?

They have the 3 lightning bolts on the charger and those do not share load with another tower or cable.

They also have the Ultium Ready symbol on them.

We have lots of them here in So Cal and I now refuse to charge on the older 100kW EVGo chargers now that these Delta EVGo chargers are in place.

I get 170kW max peak rate charge on these.

I love EVGo AutoCharge+ - not only are they super fast, but it's true plug and charge without the need for your phone app.

Once I forgot my phone and was able to charge by just pulling up and plugging in.
I haven't seen any EVGos above.200, just the EA Stations that offer 350 kW. For the EAs, the 150 and 350 have me top out at around 123 (for prime and avg around 110-118 until 80% and then backs down to 41). I had in real cold weather in Dec the chargers struggling to do more than about 60 - but it was like-5F outside.

The EA charger has a higher amperage.
Thanks - from this thread, it got me thinking about charge rates in terms of mathematics - it all now makes perfect sense when looking through that lense. As someone else noted in the thread - ignore the sign and read the actuals on the head unit in terms of amps and volts and the MMEs volt build.

If you saw 150kw initially, you're almost certainly limited by the car. As your SOC goes up, the car accepts less power, to avoid damage to the battery. The EVSmart / ShellRecharge charges sound like they have plenty of amps to give.

We have 350kw EVGos. If you want to see one, search Carlmont Village Shopping Center in Belmont california. Two 350kw stations, BELLE and LUIS.

If it was cold, probably your car was requesting fewer amps, not that the charger was struggling, but one has to look at the ODB2 port to know. Really need Ford to add these key numbers to the charging stats....

I'll do that the next time I drive 2,500 miles to Cali (which I may very well do as a electric adventure and see my old stamping grounds).

RE: SOC - that wasn't a factor. It was relatively warm and state of charge was around 30%, so it would be near prime conditions). As I noted earlier, I just needed to do the math regarding the Amps - then it made perfect sense. With less than 200 Amps or cables that can't do more, then the only way to hit the rate on the front of the charger is if the car's volt build is pushing 800+.

I have never seen a 200kw EVGO charger. I have charged on a 100KW charger limited to 200A, and it tops out at 75kw, as expected. The 350Kw Signet chargers at EVGO will provide more than 150kw. They are 175kw when power shared.

The 200kw evgos are tall and skinny and say 50kw on the front stickers and 200kw in the app and charge a mache at 70kw bc limited to 200a. Confusing af ?.

They seem quite popular around here, probably half of the evgos are that. I don't know the supplier name, i will see what the box says next time i see one.

Peak. For a very short time, then it drops to the 110 - 120kW range if you're lucky, then below 100kW.

In Canada, I've been to Petro Canada stations that were marketed as 200 kW. But if you snoop around and look at the ratings, it's up to 1000 Volts and up to 200 Amps. Guessing these are a similar situation. Annoying how poorly these are labelled. Makes it really hard for most users to understand why stations are working in certain ways.

I did say peak, and peak is what the OP was asking about. Sounds like we are in violent agreement.

Yup. But making sure that @4sallypat realizes that, because he's in for a surprise when comparing the Lightning's charge curve vs. his someday-arriving Mach-E's. The Lightning apparently holds nearly 150kW nearly to 70%, whereas the Mach-E ER is going to drop to 110ish and then below 100 well before 70%.

Here is a label from an EVgo 350 kw charger station installed in Nov 2022. I got 145 kw on my EX pack starting at 20% SOC when it was 28 deg F.
